Donemana powered to a 203-run win over Newbuildings to clinch the North-West Senior Cup for a 24th time. Irish international Andy McBrine scored 100 in a century stand with Anuj Jotin as the Tyrone side posted 267 for 8 in their second innings setting Newbuildings a challenging 294 target. Indian professional Jotin then took four wickets, including dangerman Pete Salmon for nought as Newbuildings collapsed to 90 all out. Donemana captain Gary McClintock - who scored a century in the first innings - pipped McBrine and Jotin to the Man of the Match award.

Brigade 152 (41.5 overs; S Macbeth 46, C Melly 26; A Jotin 3-55, L Dougherty 2-13, G McClintock 2-25)
Thumbs up from Anuj Jotin as he and Gary McClintock starred for Donemana (CricketEurope)
The big game in the Senior Cup semi-finals turned into a no-contest as Donemana thumped Brigade at Beechgrove by 113 runs. Anuj Jotin, caught off the penultimate ball of the innings for 96, top scored in Donemana’s 265 for six and in reply Brigade were soon 45 for four and Jotin then took two wickets as Brigade lost three for four runs to collapse to 125 for eight.
Semi-final: Coleraine lost to Newbuildings by 6 wickets
Sandel Lodge, 28 June.
Coleraine 138 (42 overs; L Steenkamp 43, M Poskitt 27; J Dunn 5-21, Ryan Hunter 2-27)
Newbuildings 144/4 (32.2 overs; P Salmon 67*, Ryan Hunter 34)
Jason Dunn took five wickets (Lawrence Moore)
In the two-day final at the start of August, Donemana will meet holders Newbuildings who eased past Coleraine in their semi-final at Sandel Lodge by six wickets. An unbeaten 67 off 51 balls, with five fours and five sixes, from Peat Salmon saw them to their target of 139 in the 33rd over. Jason Dunn had hurried the Bannsiders innings to a conclusion taking the last five wickets for 10 runs in five overs as they collapsed from 116 for five to 138 all out.
Round 2: Brigade beat Bready by 7 wickets
Beechgrove, 31 May.
Bready 121 (29.4 overs; D Rankin 40, I Young 25, G Roulston 23; D Barr 4-18, I Hussain 2-10, J Wilson 2-26)
Brigade 122/3 (25.5 overs; S Macbeth 31, DD Barr 30, I Hussain 24)
Scott Macbeth traps Ian Young (CricketEurope)
Brigade eased in the semi-finals with a relatively comfortable seven-wickets win against Bready in a game reduced by early rain to 33 overs. David Rankin (40), Ian Young (25) and Gavin Roulston (23) took Bready to 99 for 4, but the tail didn't wag as they lost the last six wickets for 22. DD Barr picked up four wickets, while there were two apiece for Josh Wilson and Iftikhar Hussain. DD (30) and Ifty (24) shared an opening stand of 54 to break the back of the modest target before both perished to successive deliveries. Scott Macbeth rattled a rapid 31 (3 fours, 2 sixes), while Anuk Fernando and Adam McDaid applied the finishing touches to a solid win.
Round 2: Ardmore lost to Donemana by 7 wickets
The Bleachgreen, 31 May.
Ardmore 138 (40.4 overs; H Zimmermann 61*, V Dwivedi 20; A Jotin 3-18, A McBrine 3-31, L Dougherty 2-25, G McClintock 2-34)
Donemana 140/3 (24.4 overs; R Curry 77*, J Huey 28)
Another boundary for Harry Zimmermann on his way to 61 (CricketEurope)
Donemana had little trouble disposing of Ardmore by seven wickets at The Bleachgreen. Batting first, Harry Zimmermann's unbeaten 61 (6 fours) and 20 from Vuvek Dwivedi were the only highlights of another poor batting effort. Spinners Anuj Jotin and Andy McBrine took three wickets apiece, while there were two each for Levi Dougherty and Gary McClintock in a total of 138. DJ Dougherty went cheaply, but a second wicket stand of 95 in 16 overs between Jamie Huey (28) and Raymond Curry all but settled the tie. Curry continued his recent prolific form with an even time unbeaten 77 (9 fours, 1 six) as Donemana eased home in the 25th over with plenty to spare.
Round 2: Eglinton lost to Coleraine by 137 runs (DLS)
Eglinton, 31 May.
Coleraine 249 (49.4 overs; C Averill 53, L Steenkamp 41, D Cooke 35, P Carson 33, M Smyth 23; L Gamage 3-35, A Millar 2-43, A Lucas 2-46, R Wylie 2-47)
Eglinton 110 (32.2 overs; A Lucas 46, M Hutchinson 5-24, G Burns 2-25) (247 in 47 overs)
Matthew Hutchinson took 5 for 24 (Stephen McCartney)
Coleraine's excellent season rolls on as they easily brushed aside Eglinton to win by 137 runs (DLS). Helped by Eglinton's early generosity in terms of extras and dropped catches allowed the Bannsiders to settle and they never looked back after an opening stand of 71 between Craig Averill (53) and Paddy Carson (33). Louren Steenkamp (41), David Cooke (35) and Matty Smyth (23) all chipped in and a total of 249 always looked a challenging one. Even more so given the absence of Liam Doherty, back in South Africa for personal/family reasons. Andy Lucas' elevation up the order saw him make 46 (7 fours) but the weakened Eglinton batting folded to 110 all out. Matthew Hutchinson (5-24) took the bowling honours, while there were also two wickets for Gareth Burns in a one-sided contest.
Round 2: Strabane lost to Newbuildings by 1 wicket (DLS)
Strabane Park, 31 May.
Strabane 150 (46.3 overs; Subhan Shirzad 45, A Gillespie 20, R Liyanarachi 20; J Dunn 2-7, P Salmon 2-10, G McFaul 2-26)
Newbuildings 147/9 (42.1 overs; J Thompson 38, Ryan Hunter 36, R Dougherty 21; A Mullen 3-27, K Gallagher 2-6, J Mooney 2-22) (146 in 43 overs)
Ryan Hunter and Johnny Thompson scored vital runs (CricketEurope)
Holders Newbuildings made it through but only just as they won a last-over thriller by one wicket against Strabane. Chasing a revised target of 146 in 43 overs they still needed three when the last over started. Jason Bell was the Newbuildings hero as he thumped the boundary that took his side through in the tense encounter. Early wickets had Strabane on top before Johnny Thompson (38) and Ryan Hunter (36) settled the nerves and edged their way towards the target. Wickets for Andrew Mullen (3-27), John Mooney (2-22) and Kevin Gallagher - who got both JT and Ross Hunter to set up the climax - meant everyone was on the edge of their seats. Earlier Suhan Shirzad top-scored with 45 for the Red Caps, while Aaron Gillespie and Riyan Liyanarachichi each made 20. Jason Dunn, Greg McFaul and Peat Salmon each took two wickets - the latter bowling his full quota for just ten runs. It was a game that will live long in the memory for Jason Bell and his Newbuildings colleagues, who now will have a feeling their name could well be on the trophy again.
Round 1: Ardmore beat Bonds Glen by 7 wickets.
The Bleachgreen, 10 May.
Bonds Glen 152 (40 overs; J Haslett 45, S Dunn 33; J Ali 2-5, B Brolly 2-22, H Zimmermann 2-34)
Ardmore 156-3 (25 overs; Edrees Kharotai 63, H Zimmermann 36*, B Brolly 30)
Muhammed Edrees hit 7 sixes in a 24-ball 63. (CricketEurope)
Ardmore had plenty to spare against Bonds Glen at the Bleachgreen as they made light of a 153 target to win by seven wickets. Batting first the Bee Gees couldn't get a partnership going as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Johnny Haslett top scored with 45 (5 fours, 1 six) despite being hampered by a hamstring injury that forced him to retire before coming back. Stevie Dunn enjoyed himself with a 24-ball 33 (4 fours, 1 six), but 152 was never going to be enough on a true track and quick outfield. Dunn struck early, but Edrees went to town as he cleared the ropes and well beyond seven times in a 24-ball 63 that ensured the result was going only one way. Bobby Brolly (30) and skipper Harry Zimmermann (36*) shared a third wicket stand of 65 as Ardmore got there at 25 overs. It has to be said the Bee Gees dropped five catches that could have made things a whole lot closer than they eventually were.
Round 1: Strabane beat St Johnston by 7 wickets.
Strabane Park, 10 May.
St Johnston 91 (38 overs; Deepak REddy 22; A Mullen 4-39, R Liyanarachchi 3-19, R Logue 2-14)
Strabane 97-3 (18 overs; Aaron Gillespie 23*, Ranjitha Liyanarachchi 20*)
Strabane got their first win of the season as they accounted for St Johnston in emphatic style. The Donegal side were without Graeme McCarter and struggled against the Red Caps attack from the off. Only Deepak Reddy (22) and skipper David Anthony (16) made any fist of it as they were bowled out for 91 - four wickets for left-arm spinner Andrew Mullen, three for Ranjitha Liyanarachchi, and a brace for Rhys Logue. The chase was more or less routine with Aaron Gillespie (23*) an Liyanarachchi (20*) both making unbeaten 20's.
Round 1: Killyclooney lost to Donemana by 7 wickets
Killyclooney, 10 May.
Killyclooney 246 (44.2 overs; A Visser 65, A Colhoun 55, G Moan 45, A Neil 26; D McGerrigle 3-43)
Donemana 250/3 (30 overs; Ray Curry 113*, Anuj Jotin 64, J Huey 40)
Raymond Curry scored unbeaten 113 (Gary McClintock)
Donemana made light work of a potentially tricky chase as they safely negotiated their trip to Killyclooney, winning by seven wickets. Aron Visser struck 10 fours and 3 sixes in a 40-ball 65, adding 83 for the second wicket with Giles Moan (45). Alan Colhoun kept the pace going with a 37-ball 55 (5 fours, 5 sixes), but from 230 for 4, the 10-men of Killyclooney's tail didn't wag and they were 246 all out - three wickets for Dwayne McGerrigle. DJ Dougherty went cheaply, but Raymond Curry made 113 not out - sharing century stands with Jamie Huey (40) and Anuj Jotin (64) as they romped to victory with 20 overs to spare.
Round 1: Brigade beat Ballyspallen by 10 wickets.
Beechgrove, 10 May.
Ballyspallen 118 (30.3 overs; I Bird 38, K Rapulana 33; D Barr 5-46, J Millar 3-12)
Brigade 119-0 (19.2 overs; I Hussain 85*, D Barr 25*)
Ryan Barr claimed five wickets (Mervyn Robinson)
Ryan Barr took five wickets and Ifty Hussain scored a rapid half century as Brigade made short work of Ballyspallen at Beechgrove. Barr claimed 5 for 46 and Jamie Millar 3-12 as 'Spallen were bowled out for 118 - Isaac Bird (38) and Kasigo Rapulana (33) their main contributors. Ifty then took centre stage hitting 16 fours and a six in his 69-ball unbeaten 85, sharing an opening stand of 119 with DD Barr (25*) in a one-sided 10-wickets win.
Round 1: Sion Mills lost to Coleraine by 10 wickets.
Holm Field, 10 May.
Sion Mills 67 (21.2 overs; L Finlay 34; G Burns 5-9, D Cooke 2-16)
Coleraine 69-0 (8.5 overs; P Carson 30*, C Averill 29*)
Gareth Burns took five wickets (Coleraine CC)
Gareth Burns' five-wickets haul ensured there was no fairy-tale return for Sion Mills to Senior Cup action as the competition's most successful side were bundled out for just 67. Lee Finlay hit an entertaining 34, but Burns claimed 5 for 9, while David Cooke took 2 for 16 in a one-sided contest. The Bannsiders knocked off the runs with the minimum of fuss, with Patrick Carson hitting 6 fours in his unbeaten 30, while Craig Averill's 29 not out included 5 fours and a six to seal the ten-wickets win in 8.5 overs.
Round 1: Eglinton beat Burndennett by 102 runs
Eglinton, 10 May.
Eglinton 301/9 (50 overs; L Doherty 94, R Millar 93, J Millar 25; S Safi 4-49, C Roulston 3-54)
Burndennett 199 (36.1 overs; N McDonnell 45, R Rahmatullah 42, M Doherty 33; R Millar 3-15, R Wylie 2-24, J Millar 2-40, L Doherty 2-57)
Liam Doherty and Robbie Millar were in the runs and wickets (Sharon Millar)
Liam Doherty and Robbie Millar were in the runs as Eglinton racked up the highest total of the day - 301 for 9 - in their 102-run win over Burndennett. Doherty was at his fluent best stroking 10 fours and 6 sixes in a 58-ball 94 that probably deserved a century - his concentration broken by a drinks break. He had dominated an opening stand of 93 in 13 overs with Andy Millar before the left-hander became the first of four wickets for Safi (4-49). Robbie Millar mad ethe most of an early reprieve to hit 11 boundaries in another fine knock of 93, while Jamie Millar chipped in with 25. Burndennett raced out of the traps with an opening stand of 86 between Niall McDonnell (45) and Mark Doherty. Rahmatullah - one of the Tyrone side's two ex-Rushians - showed what he is capable of as he clubbed 8 fours and a six in a 23-ball 42, but three wicket for Robbie Millar, and two apiece for Jamie, Richard Wylie and Liam Doherty ensured an ultimately straightforward win.
Round 1: Fox Lodge lost to Bready by 12 runs
Ballymagorry, 10 May.
Bready 184 (49.1 overs; J Magee 44, J van Heerdon 38; A Heywood 3-28, A Walker 3-50, J Milligan 2-31)
Fox Lodge 172 (42.5 overs; J Milligan 35, J Robinson 25, C Simpson 24; I Young 3-33, N McCombe 2-12, G Roulston 2-24, C Olphert 2-35)
New Bready pro Josh van Heerden (Lawrence Moore)
Bready were the only Premiership side given a real scare by Championship opposition coming out on the right side of a close fought contest by 12 runs. Batting first the Magherason side were in real danger of an early exit as they slumped to 88 for 7 despite 38 from newly arrived South African pro Josh van Heerdon. Jamie Magee top-scored with 44 (5 fours) adding 40 for the 9th wickets with David Scanlon, and 41 for the 9th with Conor Olphert, and these runs, together with 13 from number 11 Nathan McCombe were to prove priceless. Jason Milligan (35) and Johnny Robinson (25) were two of seven Foxies to get to double figures, but none was able to reach the half century that would have surely won the game. Ian Young took three wickets, while there were two apiece for Nathan McCombe. Gavin Roulston, and Conor Olphert.
Round 1: Glendermott lost to Newbuildings by 7 wickets.
The Rectory, 10 May.
Glendermott 124 (34 overs; A Johnson 44; P Salmon 5-33, J Thompson 2-18, C Downey 2-38)
Newbuildings 126-3 (18.2 overs; P Salmon 54*, R Dougherty 30*)
Peat Salmon took five wickets (JT)
Peat Salmon was to the fore as holders Newbuildings progressed into the last eight with a seven wickets win at Glendermott. Home skipper Alan Johnson hit four sixes in a 27-ball 44 in the Rectory side's 124 all out - five wickets for Salmon, plus two apiece for JT and Charlie Downey. There would have been a slight concern as they slipped to 41 for 3 in the chase, but Salmon thumped 6 sixes and 3 fours in a 24-ball unbeaten 54, adding an unbroken 75 in nine overs for the fourth wicket with Ross Dougherty, whose 30 not out saw him clear the ropes four times as well as hitting a four - saving energy running on a hot day.

Strabane 165-7 (20 overs; A Gillespie 52, V Moorthy 33*, S Shirzad 30; A Allen 3-16, J Dunn 2-16)
Ardmore’s loss means they now face a promotion/relegation play-off against St Johnston for the remaining Premiership place in 2026. That’s because Strabane leapfrogged them with a three-wicket victory over Newbuildings in a 20-overs game. Ross Dougherty 36-ball 67 helped Newbuildings make 159 for eight, with runs too for Charlie Downey (35not out) and Jason Dunn (23). Strabane took advantage of a new-look Newbuildings opening attack to have 50 on the board after just two overs – Subhan Shirzad clearing the ropes four times in a nine-ball 30. Aaron Gillespie continued the attack with a fine 52, but three wickets for Adam Allen and two for Jason Dunn swung the momentum back towards the hosts, With 22 needed from the last two overs, Vadivel Moorthy emerged the Strabane hero, hitting four sixes in an unbeaten 33 to ensure Strabane’s Premiership survival.

Brigade 155-6 (26.1 overs; S Macbeth 55, C Melly 26, J Smallwoods 24, A McDaid 23; C Brolly 2-9)
NW Premiership champions Brigade (CricketEurope)
BRIGADE were crowned North-West Premiership champions after a four-wicket win over Ardmore at Beechgrove. The pressure was off Andy Britton’s side following the abandonment of challengers Donemana’s match at already relegated Eglinton, and they continued their winning streak with an efficient win. In a match reduced to 30 overs because of heavy rain, Ardmore posted 154 for nine thanks primarily to the efforts of skipper Harry Zimmermann, who hit seven fours and three sixes in a top score of 90 from 82 balls. Brigade were always in control of the chase, with Scott Macbeth hitting five fours and two maximums in a rapid 55, while there were 20’s too for Cameron Melly, James Smallwoods and Adam McDaid.

Bready 211-8 (49.4 overs; R Clarke 76, G Roulston 43, I Young 23; C Downey 2-34, J Dunn 2-36, A Allen 2-37)
There was another last-over game at Bready where the home side prevailed in another thriller. Jason Dunn bulldozed his way to a brilliant hundred, hitting 10 fours and 6 sixes in 106 from 83 balls - dominating a new-look Newbuildings total of 210. They had been rocked by Travis Faulkner's early inroads, as he dismissed Peat Salmon and Ross Dougherty with his second and third balls. There was two wickets for Gavin Roulston, while Jordan McCorkell wiped out the lower order in taking four for 36. Charlie Downey struck two early blows, but Ryan Clarke top-scored with 76 (3 fours, 3 sixes), putting on 85 for the third wicket with Gavin Roulston (43). Cameron McClay (16*) was the Bready hero, as the teenager got the win with two balls left.
Ardmore beat Eglinton by 1 wicket
The Bleachgreen, 6 September.
Eglinton 213 (46.4 overs; A Lucas 112, M Averill 32; Edrees 3-40, H Zimmermann 2-39, Junaid Ali 2-46, Vivek Dwivedi 2-52)
Ardmore 217-9 (49.5 overs; Junaid Ali 62, Aneesh Anilkumar 53, Vivek Dwivedi 30*; Andy Lucas 3-35, Mark Averill 3-47)
Ardmore last wicket pair of Vivek Dwivedi and Conor Brolly (CricketEurope)
Eglinton and Ardmore played out a thriller at the Bleachgreen with the home side winning by one wicket off the penultimate ball. The victory means Ardmore go above Strabane in the table, but confirmed relegation for Eglinton for the first time since 2011. Andy Lucas top-scored with 112 (7 fours, 2 sixes) adding 94 for the fifth wicket with Mark Averill (32). At that stage Eglinton looked set to post 250 plus, but fell away badly losing six wickets for 27 to be all out for 213- three wickets for Edrees. Theb chase started badly as Ardmore slipped to 38 for 3, but Junaid Ali hit 62 (7 fours, 1 six) as he added 77 for the fourth wicket with Aneesh Anilkumar. Mark Averill trapped Junaid lbw for his third wicket, but Aneesh made 53 to keep Ardmore in the game. Lucas then captured three wickets, and with the last Ardmore pair in the middle, 23 were still required. Vivek Dwivedi (30*) and Conor Brolly held their nerve to get the runs, a result that could well ensure another top flight season for Ardmore.
Strabane lost to Brigade by 117 runs (DLS)
Strabane Park, 6 September.
Brigade 174/9 (39 overs; S Macbeth 71, I Hussain 46; A Mullen 3-32, R Logue 3-33)
Strabane 49 (15.4 overs; Ranjitha 26; A Britton 6-12, S Macbeth 3-15) (Target 166 in 36 overs)
Andy Britton took six wickets (Mervyn Robinson)
Brigade romped to an emphatic 117-run DLS win against Strabane in a game reduced to 39 overs per side. The win means they will be champions for the first time since 2019 if they beat Ardmore at Beechgrove on Sunday. Batting first, Brigade found the conditions tough with Ifty Hussain making a patient 46. Scott Macbeth upped the tempo as he cleared the ropes five times and also hit three fours in a 60-ball 71, taking his side to 174 for 9 - three wickets apiece for Andrew Mullen and Rhys Logue. What happened next saw one of the more amazing passages of play this season as Brigade skipper Andy Britton tore through the Strabane top-order, having figures of 6 for 1 at one stage as the hosts crashed to 11 for 7 - all seven batters failing to score. There was a recovery of sorts with Ranjitha making 25 and TJ Boyd 13, but they were eventually bowled out for 49 - three wickets too for Scott Macbeth.

Coleraine beat Newbuildings by 12 runs (DLS)
Sandel Lodge, 23 August.
Coleraine 286-4 (50 overs; P Carson 67, L Steenkamp 62, D Cooke 61*, S Campbell 56; Ross Hunter 3-38)
Newbuildings 214-6 (41 overs; P Salmon 111*, R Dougherty 36, L McKeegan 23, G McFaul 22; C Averill 3-15) (227 in 41 overs)
Coleraine leapfrogged Newbuildings into third place in the table with a narrow 12-run (DLS) win. The Bannsiders batting fired again with the top four all making half centuries in a total of 286 for 4 - Patrick Carson top-scoring with 67 (10 fours, 1 six), adding 120 for the first wicket with Scott Campbell (56). Louren Steenkamp hit 5 sixes in a 44-ball 62, while David Cooke made an even time unbeaten 61 (6 fours, 2 sixes). Ross Hunter (3-38) was the pick of the Newbuildings attack. The chase was shaping up to be an exciting one as Peat Salmon hit 13 fours and 5 sixes in his 111 not out, with the game in the balance at 214 for 6 in 41 overs. The rain brought proceedings to a halt though - Coleraine ahead on DLS.
Eglinton lost to Strabane by 3 wickets
Eglinton, 23 August.
Eglinton 133 (29.5 overs; Lakshan Gamage 26, L Ritchie 23, J Millar 21; A Mullen 3-33, V Moorthy 3-45, TJ Boyd 2-24, Ranjitha 2-30)
Strabane 137-7 (31 overs; A Gillespie 38, R Logue 34, K Gallagher 20; R Millar 5-46)
Strabane won the big game at the bottom with the loss leaving Eglinton almost certain to drop to the Championship. They need to win their last two games against Donemana and Ardmore, and hope the Bleachgreen side lose twice with little bonus points. A disappointing effort with the bat saw the hosts struggle to 133 with last man Lee Ritchie's 23 giving them a bit of a boost. Andrew Mullen and Vadivel Moorthy claimed three wickets each. Strabane started well and at 96 for 2 - Aaron Gillespie (38), Rhys Logue (34) and Kevin Gallagher (20) - it seemed a convincing win was on the cards. Robbie Millar though took a five-wicket haul with Strabane edging home nervously to win by three wickets. Eglinton will be left wondering if another 20 runs would have made all the difference against a Strabane side missing John Mooney due to a coaching stint with Afghanistan.

Donemana kept the pressure on Brigade as they closed the gap to six points after a seven-wicket win at home to Ardmore. Edrees thumped 6 fours and three sixes in a 41-ball 48 but four wickets for Andy McBrine soon had Ardmore deep in trouble. Mark Chambers (35) and Phil Patterson (20) added late runs to get the Bleachgreen side up to 190 - two wickets each for Dwayne McGerrigle and David O'Sullivan. DJ Dougherty fell cheaply but a second wicket stand of 139 between Gary McClintock and Raymond Curry ensured Donemana got 24 of the 25 points on offer. Skipper McClintock hit 7 fours and 3 sixes in a top-score of 64, while Curry's 58 came from only 44 balls (7 fours, 2 sixes). Peat Salmon took 7 for 8 (CricketEurope)
Peat Salmon bowled Newbuildings to a five-wicket win at Ardmore with the West Indian international wreaking havoc among the home batters. Ardmore had looked settled in reaching 100 for 2 with runs for Junaid Ali (42) and Bobby Brolly (35) but Samon's introduction changed all that. He made the home batsmen look like rabbits in headlights taking 7 for 8 as they slumped to 137 all out. Two wickets apiece for the Brolly brothers meant two points for Ardmore - everyone potentially vital as the relegation battle enters its final phase.

The Holm, 16 August.
Donemana 282 (48.4 overs: P Stirling 88, A McBrine 65, D McGerrigle 35, J Huey 27)

Paul Stirling gets his debut cap from Andy McBrine (Lawrence Moore)
Cameron Melly upstaged Paul Stirling to give Brigade pole position in the NW Premiership title race as they chased 282 to win by four wickets at The Holm. Ireland captain Stirling had made 88 from 53 balls (8 fours, 7 sixes) on his Donemana debut as they reached 137 for 1 in the 18th over. His dismissal - well caught by Andy Britton at long-off from Scott Macbeth's bowling altered the complexion of the innings. The spinning triumvirate of Macbeth (3-39), DD Barr (3-44) and Ifty Hussain (2-21) took a combined 8-104 in 30 overs as too many poor across the line shots from the home side threw away their advantage. Andy McBrine (65) and Dwayne McGerrigle rallied the lower order from 188-7 to 282 all out. A decent score but Brigade soon ate into in it with runs for DD Barr (47) and ifty Hussain (95). Donemana were on the ropes and Cameron Melly delivered the knock-out blows as he hit 10 sixes and 5 fours in a 44-ball unbeaten 87. It's now Brigade's title to lose. Quite a turnaround from early season when they lost three of their first five matches to be languishing in mid-table.

John Mooney guided Strabane home as they beat Bready by two wickets in a tense chase. Needing 171, Strabane just about got there with Mooney's unbeaten 38 and 22 from Rhys Logue their main contributions. They were helped too by Bready's wastefulness in conceding 49 extras - 39 of them wides or no-balls - and when you do that you can't expect or indeed deserve to win. Replacement professional Shaun von Berg (3-22) and Gavin Roulston (2-24) were the pick of the Bready attack. Earlier, Kyle Magee top-scored with 47, skipper Ian Young made 33, and there was 29 apiece from Roulston and Von Berg. The Strabane bowlers shared the wickets with two each for Mark McNulty, Ranjitha, TJ Boyd, and John Mooney. Eglinton, 5 July.

Eglinton 60 (21.3 overs; C Brolly 5-28, H Zimmermann 3-20)
Ardmore picked up the Sean Bradley Trophy for the win (CricketEurope)
Junaid Ali and Conor Brolly starred as Ardmore gave their chances of Premiership survival a real boost, plunging Eglinton right into the relegation dogfight mix. It looked an unlikely scenario as four wickets for Mark Averill had Ardmore in real trouble at 53 for 6. Junaid though was able to marshall the tail, hitting an even time 71 (7 fours, 3 sixes). Robbie Millar took two for five and the consensus was a total of 129 looked respectable but not enough. The hosts had a tricky spell to negotiate before tea and lost three wickets as the realisation dawned this might be not be straightforward. In ideal bowling conditions Conor Brolly took 5 for 28 and skipper Harry Zimmermann 3-20 as the Bleachgreen side won by 69 runs, and with it claimed the Shaun Bradley Memorial Trophy.

The top of the table clash was the worst affected by the weather that hung around the North Coast for most of the day. He shared a stand of 116 in 13 overs with Ifty Hussain who made 86. Scott Campbell and Rory Knox each took three wickets. Paddy Carson made a fluent 34 at the top of the order, but three wickets for Macbeth had the game seemingly taking its natural course at 83 for four, The Bannsiders obviously hadn't read the script and proceeded to turn things on their head. Marcus Poskitt hit an unbeaten 111 from just 97 balls (11 fours, 6 sixes) adding an unbroken 210 with ex-Brigade (and a few others) batsman David Cooke. The Irish international has been pivotal in Coleraine's success this season, and his tenth four took him to his century as the six wicket win was achieved with 15 balls to spare. As David Coleman used to say - quite remarkable..
