Joe Doherty presents trophy to Lightning captain Lorcan Tucker (Cricket Ireland)
Delayed start with the match reduced to 34 overs. The washout in Cork means Leinster Lightning are the 2025 IP50 Champions. Helicopter with trophy en-route to Bready? Lightning win the Toss and elect to bowl. A couple of rain interruptions doesn't affect Andy Balbirnie who posts 50. But another burst of rain ends proceedings.

Matt Hollard took five wickets, while Cade Carmichael's brilliant summer continued as he made 105 in a Knights total of 223. Tim Tector's half century plus runs from Chris De Freitas (38), and David Delany (43*) ensured a bonus point six-wicket win in the 35th over, despite Matthew Humphreys three wickets.

Munster Reds leapfrogged Leinster Lightning to go top of the 50-overs Interpro Cup table with a 27-run win at the Mardyke. Kian Hilton 64 (5 fours, 4 sixes) top-scored, while Suliman Safi also got past 50, adding 81 for the second wicket with Swapnil Modgill (41). Philippe Le Roux and John McNally both made 29 in a fifth wicket stand of 50 as the hosts made 287 - three wickets for Reuben Wilson and two for Melvin Deveraj. Tim Tector (42) and Chris De Freitas (27) got the chase off to a fast start with an opening stand of 70, before losing three wickets for eight runs. Lorcan Tucker 63 (7 fours, 1 six) looked to be rescuing them along with George Dockrell (28), but Munster kept chipping away. Gavin Hoey (27) tried his best to rescue it with the tail, but three wickets apiece for Curtis Campher and Ben White were instrumental in the win.

Sam Topping reaches his century (Lawrence Moore)
The Northern Knights kept alive their title chances with a three-wicket win in a high scoring encounter at Bready. Sam Topping made 111 sharing an opening stand of 113 with Andy Balbirnie (50), while putting on a further 78 in nine overs for the fourth with captain Andy McBrine (55) in a total of 278 for 5 - three wickets for Cian Robertson. David O'Sullivan removed new Donemana team-mate Paul Stirling and Morgan Topping cheaply, but a third wicket stand of 105 between Ben Calitz (72) and Cade Carmichael (65) got them back on track. Three wickets for Robbie Millar and two in an over from Andy McBrine tilted the game back in the hosts favour. However, the Knights batting depth saw them home thanks to Ross Adair's unbeaten 52 adding a vital 59 with Tom Mayes (33).

Stephen Doheny sent the Ireland selectors a reminder of his abilities with a stunning 129 as Munster Reds made it back-to-back wins with a six wicket victory over Northern Knights at Stormont. His 111-ball knock included 15 fours and 4 sixes, sharing a match defining third wicket stand of 136 in 20 overs with Suliman Safi (68) as they secured the bonus point for chasing down their 275 target in 40 overs. Earlier, Cade Carmichael celebrated his Irish call-up by top-scoring with 65 (12 fours) for the Knights, with James McCollum (58) and skipper Neil Rock (50) also scoring half centuries. From 155 for 2 in the 29th over, the Knights needed less haste, more speed on a ground where over 300 is par.

Chris De Freitas carried his bat as Leinster Lightning produced another salvage operation to make it three wins from three and on course to retain the IP 50 Cup. Lisburn seamer Ryan Macbeth's four wickets included a trio of Irish internationals, but De Freitas stood firm as the hosts slowly gained the upper hand. His unbeaten 143 - the second highest individual score in the competition's history - included 19 fours and 4 sixes, with the Balbriggan left-hander sharing stands of 74 for the sixth wicket with Gavin Hoey, and 85 for the 7th with Barry McCarthy, whose rapid 37 included three sixes. The Warriors chase was always behind the required run rate despite Andrew Balbirnie's third score over 50 in the past week. Skipper Andy McBrine was last man out for a top score of 64 (5 fours, 3 sixes) but his side finished 44 runs adrift. The 50 overs format takes a break now until August, with the T20's getting underway in Cork next month.

George Dockrell yet again proved he's very much the man for a crisis as the Phoenix all-rounder rescued the defending champions from a precarious 12 for 4 and 52 for 5 chasing 205 to beat the Northern Knights at Oak Hill. Dockrell shared stands of 82 for the sixth wicket and an unbroken 76 for the seventh with the Pembroke duo of Gavin Hoey (40) and Barry McCarthy (34*). Dockrell reached his century with a maximum over deep midwicket to bring the contest to a fitting end. The Knights will reflect on twice throwing away strong positions - firstly when Cade Carmichael's 107 from 101 balls (14 fours, 1 six) helped them at one stage to 145 for 3 before the wheels came off. Then, when Tom Mayes early blitz had Lightning on the ropes at 12 for 4 with last week's two centurions - Harry Tector and Lorcan Tucker - back in the hutch. Dockrell though loves a battle and once again showcased just why he has been the outstanding cricketer of the interpros over the past decade.

Andrew Balbirnie's century was in a losing cause as Munster chased down the Warriors 245 to win with three wickets and two overs to spare. Batting first the Warriors opening pair of Balbirnie and Sam Topping (30) couldn't get going as their stand of 79 ate up more than half of the overs. Balbirnie did pick up the pace as the innings went on, making 101 from 135 balls (10 fours). Andy McBrine made 27, but it took a late surge from Cameron Melly (31*) and Jared Wilson (28*)- who added an unbroken 58 for the seventh wicket from just 20 balls. Munster lost wickets at regular intervals, but a match defining stand of 89 between skipper Gareth Delany and Railway Union's former Ireland U19 captain Philippe Le Roux (74*) ensured Munster got their first win of the competition in a tight finish at The Mardyke.

Leinster Lightning 328/8 (50 overs; L Tucker 121, H Tector 120, T Tector 30, G Dockrell 27; J Manley 4-74, B McDonough 2-56)
Munster Reds 280 (46.1 overs; P le Roux 87*, Suliman Safi 59, S Doheny 51, G Delany 44; J Moondra 3-42, B McCarthy 2-41)
Lorcan Tucker marked his Leinster captaincy debut with a century and a win, as he and fellow international Harry Tector (120) shared a partnership of 212 to help Lightning to 328 for 8 - the fourth highest partnership and the fourth highest total in the competition. Tim Tector (30) and George Dockrell (27) also chipped in. Josh Manley took four wickets, while there were two for Byron McDonough. Munster gave it a go with half centuries for Suliman Safi and Stephen Doheny. Philippe Le Roux hit a defiant 87 from just 68 balls (8 fours, 4 sixes) and probably deserved a century before running out of partners. They finished on 280, 48 runs adrift.

Hundred for Sam Topping (CricketEurope)
The Northern Knights survived a mid-innings wobble to chase down the Warriors 283 to win by four wickets at Stormont. An opening stand of 128 between Cade Carmichael and James McCollum laid the platform, but four wickets for Scott Macbeth had the game in the balance at 222 for 6. Tom Mayes (40*) thumped three sixes in an over to hasten the Knights home, sharing an unbroken 7th wicket stand of 64 with Jordan Neill (32*). Earlier, debutants Sam Topping (120) and Andrew Balbirnie (91) shared an opening stand of 217 - the third highest in the 50 overs competition's 12-year history - before both fell in quick succession to Matthew Foster. Tom Mayes picked up three wickets late on, while there were entertaining 20's from Jake Egan and Jared Wilson.

Curtis Campher took five wickets in five balls as the Warriors were bowled out for 88, losing by 100 runs to Munster Reds. Scott Macbeth (33) and Andy McBrine (29) added 49 for the 5th wicket after Bakhytar Nabi (3-18) had reduced them to 29 for four. The wheels then came off as the last six wickets added 10 runs. There were five ducks in the NW innings - four going first ball in a horrific batting effort. Campher top-scored with 44, while PJ Moor's last game saw him make 35 in a total of 188 for 7. Moor wasn't awarded a contract by Cricket Ireland in March, and with no Test cricket on the immediate horizon he has opted to return to his native Zimbabwe to work in the family business.

Champions Leinster Lightning finished on a winning note as they clinched a final over two-wicket win against Northern Knights. Morgan Topping's 51 (4 fours, 4 sixes) included 25 off one Josh Little over as he and James McCollum (30) added 84 in seven overs, while Tom Mayes hit 46 in a total of 187 for 9 - four wickets for Gavin Hoey. Chris De Freitas went first ball but a second wicket stand of 111 between the Tector brothers looked to be setting up a routine win. However, once Tim went for 85 - taking his tournament tally to 507 - there were a few nerves, but David Delany made a vital 24, while Josh Little cleared long-on by some distance to seal the win with four balls to spare to ensure the champions finished on a high note after four weeks of almost total domination - eight of their ten wins coming with a bonus point.

Ben White bowled Munster Reds to victory with his four wickets derailing the Knights after Ross Adair (39) and Paul Stirling (32) had raced out of the traps chasing 180. White's 4 for 26 and Bryon McDonough's three wickets saw them bowled out for 166. Earlier half centuries for Philippe Le Roux and Kian Hilton took Munster to 180 for 9, with 20's for Swapnil Modgill and PJ Moor. Sean Davey took four wickets, while Matthew Humphreys picked up three in another good effort.

Tim Tector (CricketEurope)
Tim Tector scored his first century in the T20 Trophy as champions Leinster Lightning continued their winning run, with yet another impressive chase. They failed to pick up a bonus point for their win, by six wickets, for the first first time this season but Tector enjoyed the limelight with relief as much as celebration evident when he reached the landmark. Tector also became the first Lightning batter to score 1,000 runs in the competition and the third overall. He was out immediately after, to a fine low catch by Robbie Millar but with only nine runs required and two overs remaining, victory was already assured. Tector faced just 51 balls for his century and hit 12 fours and three sixes. Chris de Freitas had launched the Lightning chase for 199 in spectactular fashion with a 20-ball 50, again out shortly afterwards, having seven fours and three sixes, in an opening stand of 86 in just 7.3 overs. Warriors must have thought they were in the game having posted 198 for two with Andrew Balbirnie top scoring against his former team-mates with 80 off 51 balls (10 fours, three sixes). After his dismissal, Jake Egan and Cameron Melly added 42 in 21 balls but it still wasn’t enough against the all-conquering Lightning side.

Lorcan Tucker and David Delany (CricketEurope)
David Delany's triple wicket maiden on his way to a personal interpro best figures of 4 for 19 set Leinster Lightning on the way to yet another bonus point win against Munster Reds. Curtis Campher's return from injury was a successful one as he helped Munster recover, top-scoring with 57 (9 fours, 1 six), while Liam McCarthy (37*) added late runs to get them to 159 Chris De Freitas was again in the runs, making a fluent 66 (8 fours, 3 sixes) sharing stands of 52 and 80 with Tim (27) and Harry Tector (32*). Skipper Lorcan Tucker thumped a seven-ball unbeaten 20 as the eight-wicket win was clinched in the 16th over. That completed an excellent day for Tucker on his home soil as he took five catches - a record for the T20 Trophy.

Sam Topping (Cricket Ireland)
Sam Topping reminded his former NCU team mates of his batting quality making a match-winning 83 as the Warriors made light work of chasing down 174 at Pembroke. The Waringstown left-hander's 48-ball innings included 9 fours and 4 sixes, sharing stands of 86 for the first wicket with Andy Balbirnie (35) and 50 for the second with Jake Egan (37*). Matthew Humphreys (2-32) was the pick of a largely toothless attack. Earlier, there were two stand-out displays in a largely disappointing Knights batting effort, with Cade Carmichael and Ben Calitz making half centuries. Carmichael top-scored with 60 (6 fours, 1 six) adding 74 in seven overs with Ben Calitz, who cleared the wall six times in a 32-ball 58 that got the Knights up to 173 for seven - two wickets apiece for Andy McBrine, Graham Hume, and David O'Sullivan.

Ross Adair waa in the runs for the Northern Knights (CricketEurope)
In the morning match, the Knights opening pair of Paul Stirling and Ross Adair finally came good as they trounced Munster in a rain-affected contest. John McNally hit five fours and two sixes in a top-score of 61, adding 59 for the second wicket with Stephen Doheny, who hit a rapid 40. Liam McCarthy added late runs with a 17-ball unbeaten 37, and a final total of 170 looked to be around par at the midway stage. Stirling and Adair though made a mockery of the target as they smashed the Munster attack to all parts of the Tyrone venue. They put on 132 in just 56 balls with Stirling making an unbeaten 79 from only 34 balls, and Adair a 29-ball 60. In total they hit a combined ten fours and 14 sixes – 144 of the 152 runs scored coming in boundaries. Heavy rain stopped the carnage, with the Knights declared 72-run (DLS) winners.

Chris De Freitas made 78 (CricketEurope)
LEINSTER Lightning made it seven bonus point wins on the bounce as they brushed aside the North West Warriors in a 79-run win on the second day of the T20 Interprovincial series at Bready. It was a one-sided affair from start to finish as the defending champions encountered no resistance from the bitterly disappointing hosts. Chris De Freitas and Tim Tector (38) shared an opening stand of 84 that was ended just before the midway point of the innings. It didn’t stall the Dubliners momentum as Harry Tector (30) joined De Freitas as the runs continued to flow against a largely toothless home side attack – the pair adding 65 in 34 balls for the second wicket. Balbriggan left-hander De Freitas hit seven fours and three sixes in a brilliant 53-ball 78, ended only by a direct hit run out from Jared Wilson. It was a rare highlight as Leinster finished on 193 for five, setting the Warriors a fairly formidable target. Barry McCarthy has been the stand-out bowler in the competition, and once again he proved tough to play, taking one for seven in a three-over spell, including the wicket of opener Sam Topping. After five overs, the hosts had limped to 15 for two, with the match effectively over. Andy Balbirnie played some nice shots in a top score of 26, but it was all about respectability. Harry Tector and teenage paceman Reuben Wilson each took three wickets, while Matthew Hollard took two in an over as the Warriors were bowled out for 114 in the 19th over. Lightning will claim the trophy three games early if they either beat Munster and claim a bonus point, or if the Northern Knights lose to the Warriors.

The Warriors recovered from 57 for 5 to post 186 for 7 against Munster Reds. Jake Egan was the star of the show as he hit an unbeaten 87 from 52 balls (8 fours, 4 sixes). He added 52 for the sixth wicket with Graham Hume (18), but the real fireworks came in the closing stages as he and David O'Sullivan (26*) added 51 in 26 balls - 43 alone coming in the last two overs. Swapnil Modgill (33) and Kian Hilton (20) started the chase well after the early fall of Stephen Doheny, but thereafter the wheels came off with Andy Mcbrine taking 3 for 7 and two apiece for Robbie Millar and Graham Hume in the 56-run win.

There were wickets too for David Delany and Josh Little. Tim Tector made light work of a 123 target as he thumped 8 fours and 6 sixes in a 43-ball unbeaten 81, dominating stands of 53 with Chris De Freitas and an unbroken 74 with elder brother Harry (34*) as they galloped over the finishing line in the 13th over.

Sam Topping (CricketEurope)
SAM Topping and Jared Wilson were the stars as the Warriors avenged last week’s heavy defeat to the Northern Knights, winning a rain-affect contest at Stormont by 38 runs (DLS). Waringstown left-hander Topping has been a revelation since his move to the North-West and his prolific form continued as he carried his bat through the innings, making an unbeaten 71 from just 57 balls (six fours, one maximum) to take his side to 181 for six. He shared a third wicket stand of 62 in eight overs with Andy McBrine, who hit four boundaries in a breezy 32, while Jared Wilson gave the innings late impetus with a quickfire 19. A heavy shower saw the Knights chasing a revised target of 81 in just seven overs, but the consensus was it could be done given the firepower in their ranks. However, the chase was soon in tatters with two of their big guns – international openers Paul Stirling and Ross Adair both back in the pavilion inside two overs. The carnage continued with Jared Wilson taking three wickets in an over, followed by three wickets in three balls in the next over bowled by McBrine, as six wickets were lost for just three runs – 24 for two becoming 27 for eight. Number ten Sean Davey was top-scorer with ten as the Knights couldn’t even bat their seven overs – all out for 42. Wilson had the excellent analysis of four for 15, while McBrine and Graham Hume each picked two wickets in the comfortable win.

Phiippe Le Roux scored 80 (CricketEurope)
In the afternoon game defending champions Leinster Lightning secured another bonus point win as they beat Munster Reds by six wickets. Barry McCarthy’s new-ball burst had Munster reeling on 16 for four inside the powerplay, accounting for Swapnil Modgill, Kian Hilton and Sulieman Safi, while Melvin Deveraj got the prize scalp of in-form Stephen Doheny. Former Ireland Under-19 captain Philippe Le Roux staged a recovery as he thumped 11 boundaries in an entertaining 80, but a final total of 122 for nine was never likely to trouble the powerful Dubliners line-up. Skipper Lorcan Tucker led the charge as he top-scored with 45 sharing stands of 42 with Chris De Freitas (39) and 35 with George Dockrell. Eight were needed off five balls to secure the extra point when Tucker was dismissed, but Seamus Lynch took needed two in a ruthless display.

Northern Knights 175-5 (20 overs: C Carmichael 39*, B Calitz 35, N Rock 31, M Topping 31; G Hume 3-24)

Carson McCullough and Cian Robertson (CricketEurope)
A late flurry of boundaries from Ben Calitz (35 off 12 - 2x4, 4x6) meant that the Warriors were set a challenging 9 an over for the win. The Warriors were never able to get into the game after the early departure of both openers Sam Topping and Andy Balbirnie and things got no better as wickets tumbled. The Knights with a whopping win and will start the long journey home earlier than expected.

Defending champions Leinster Lightning welcomed back their six international players and they played a vital role in a bonus point four-wicket win over the North-West Warriors. Chasing 130, Tim Tector cleared the ropes five times in a rapid half century to get them off to a flying start. Eglinton leg-spinner Robbie Millar pegged them back with three wickets, but Gavin Hoey hit an eight-ball unbeaten 20 to secure the win. The series continues on Thursday when there’s an all-Ulster clash in the morning, followed by Munster against Leinster in the afternoon.

Stephen Doheny scored 150 not out (CricketEurope)
STEPHEN Doheny and Ben White helped Munster Reds to a 47-run win over the Northern Knights on the second day of the T20 interprovincials in Cork. Doheny has been on the periphery of the Irish squad for the past few seasons and took that frustration out on the NCU attack with a record-breaking innings. He clubbed a record 16 sixes on his way to an unbeaten 150 from just 56 deliveries, also registering the fastest century and the highest individual score in an innings that will live long in the memory. Chasing 215, the Knights were actually ahead of the required rate thanks to a 19-ball 55 from Cade Carmichael, but Ben White’s five wicket haul was decisive in the Munster win.

Waringstown's Sam Topping top-scored with 67 (CricketEurope)
The Warriors got their T20 season up and running with a 29-run win over Munster at The Mardyke. Sam Topping top-scored with 67 from 39 balls (5 fours, 4 sixes) sharing stands of 61 with Andy Balbirnie (26) and Jake Egan (47). Scott Macbeth (34) was also in the runs as he and Egan added a further 55. The innings fell away slightly at the death in the search for quick runs, with John McNally and Josh Manley each taking three wickets as the innings ended on 191 for seven. The chase started poorly and with the Warriors taking some excellent catches, the hosts looked buried at 101 for 7. However, Clontarf left-hander McNally cleared the ropes four times in a 39-ball 64, adding 57 in four overs with Bakhtyar Nabi (28). Just as the unlikely chase seemed on, McNally became the second wicket for Jared Wilson, followed by Nabi's run out - the injured Mike Frost (hamstring) didn't bat, leaving the winning margin 29 runs.

Morgan Topping and James McCollum added 117 (CricketEurope)
The Northern Knights took full advantage of Leinster's selection woes as they thumped the defending champions by 8 wickets to seal a bonus point win. Batting first. Abidullah Taniwal's 20-ball 40 (5 fours, 2 sixes) was the best of a modest 153 for 7 on a quick scoring Mardyke ground. Macdara Cosgrave (29) and Seamus Lynch (25) also got starts, while Cian Robertson took two wickets. Cade Carmichael got the chase off to a quick start with 29 (5 fours, 1 six), before Balbriggan's Matt Hollard struck twice. The Waringstown duo of James McCollum and Morgan Topping then took the game away with a century stand in just 8 overs. McCollum top-scored with an unbeaten 36-ball 65 (5 fours, 4 sixes), while Topping cleared the ropes six times in a 24-ball unbeaten 58 as the win was sealed in just the 13th over.

The final game of these friendlies - arranged to fill the void left by the absence of white-ball cricket for the Future Series - saw hosts Leinster Lightning Bolts claim a 22-run win over the Emerging Knights at Milverton. Matthew Langan (38), Macdara Cosgrave (30), Mark Tonge (25), Nasir Totakhil (24), and Yash Bala (21) all in the runs as the hosts made 176 - bowled out in the 36th over. It was very much a spinner dominated bowling effort with three wickets for Carson McCullough, and two apiece for James West, Harry Dyer and Alex Armstrong. The Knights were hampered by the loss of Ryan Hunter who didn't bat after breaking a finger, and were dismissed for 154 in the 33rd over. Matthew Halliday top-scored with 42, and there were 20's for Marko Bates and Adam Leckey. Mark Tonge (3-38) took the bowling honours with two wickets each for Kathan Shah and Nasir Totakhil.

The Emerging Knights recovered from a poor start to beat the Emerging Warriors by 64 runs at The Lawn. Josh Wilson (3-65) and Ryan McAuley (2-69) had the hosts in trouble at 24 for 3 and 121 for 5, but the middle-order recovered with half centuries for Carson McCullough 87 (9 fours, 2 sixes) and Kian Hilton 55 (6 fours, 2 sixes), as well as breezy cameos from Charlie Swart (37) and Ryan Matthews (22) in a total of 285. Isaac Bird was a man in a hurry as he thumped 7 sixes and 6 fours in a 37-ball 76, but once he was bowled by the excellent Harry Dyer (2-37) normality was restored. Wickets for Carson McCullough (3-45), Kian Hilton (2-22) and Evan Carlisle (2-27) ensured the Knights were always in control despite late bursts from Jared Wilson (41) and Ben Calitz (30).

Cameron Melly's century ensured the Emerging Warriors completed a 10-wicket win over Munster Heat at Eglinton. His run-a-ball 101 (11 fours) gave the Warriors a 167-run first innings advantage as he shared stands of 54 with Ryan Nolan (26) for the 7th wicket and 83 for the 8th with Sam Haslett (30*). Zubair Khan took four wickets and William Shields two. Munster looked as if they could salvage a draw as Awais Saghir (57) and Sunil Gautam (33) shared a second wicket stand of 96 to take them to 110 for 1. However, four wickets for Gavin Roulston saw them collapse to 158 for 9. William Shields (21*) struck some lusty blows to ensure the NW had to bat a second time, but Ryan Clarke (19*) knocked off the 22 required in just 25 balls.

Cade Carmichael (CricketEurope)
The disparity in the experience and quality of the squads resulted in a total mismatch that was over well before the scheduled close despite only 10 overs on the first day. Irish international Cade Carmichael top-scored with 146 from 142 balls (19 fours, 3 sixes) as he and Sam Topping put on an opening stand of 246, only ended by a run-out. Warriors opener Topping, back on home soil also made a century, hitting 14 boundaries in his unbeaten 107 as the Knights declared on 276 for 1. What followed was a slaughter of the innocents as Munster were completely dismantled twice in quick succession - their two innings lasting a total of 44 overs. Carson McCullough (4-6), Cian Robertson (3-5) and Tom Ford (3-5) did the damage with Munster bowled out for 46 in 27.3 overs. They did manage 71 in their second effort thanks to Zubair Hassan Khan's 26, but only lasted 16.3 overs. The CSNI duo of Harry Dyer (6-38) and James West (3-29) the destroyers-in-chief in the innings and 159-run win. In truth, this match was a waste of time, effort and money for all concerned.

Emerging Warriors (Cricket Ireland)
The match at Oak Hill was more of a contest, but again with more than a half of the first day lost to the rain, a draw was always going to be the likely outcome. The Warriors skipper Harry Zimmermann top-scored with 58 as they made 234 for 9 in the first innings, with runs too for Freddie Ogilby (37), Gavin Roulston (36), Cameron Melly (33) and Ryan Nolan (26*). Clontarf's John McNally (4-35) and Ethan Marshall (2-46) were the pick of the bowlers. Leinster's reply was a solid one after the early wicket of Chris De Freitas. Philippe Le Roux top-scored with 81 (12 fours, 2 sixes), while there were also half centuries for Rob O'Brien (65) and Gavin Hoey (53), as well as 42 apiece for Sulieman Safi and Seamus Lynch. Zimmermann picked up two wickets and was in the runs again making an unbeaten 32 in the second innings as it petered out into a draw. Scott Macbeth (26*) also chipped in, while there were two wickets for Mark Tonge before the teams shook hands on the draw.

With Cricket Ireland culling the white-ball element of the Future Series, the Unions have decided to arrange their own fixtures to give their fringe players some much needed cricket in T20 and 50-overs cricket. The first of these games took place at Moylena and was a high-scoring contest with Macdara Cosgrave making 119 in a Bolts total of 323 for 7. That looked imposing but proved anything but. Carson McCullough thumped 97 and there were 30's for Ewan Wilson, Mohammed Aahil, CJ van der Walt and Matthew Halliday in a four wicket win that was achieved in 36 overs. The Knights are in action next with a 50-over clash against the Warriors at Ardmore on June 3rd, while the following week they are playing four T20's - two against the Warriors at Waringstown, and two against Leinster Bolts at Instonians.
