Early wickets for the Danes but Meet Bhavsay and Ali Zaheer added 122 in an unbroken fourth wicket partnership to claim the win.

The Jersey Boys put in a performance worthy of their namesakes to entertain a large Bank-Holiday crowd at a sun drenched Granville. A 214 second wicket partnership between Nick Greenwood and Josh Lawrenson the highlight of an innings that also saw Zac Tribe and Jonty Jenner pepper the crowd on the bank with late runs. Solid start from the Danes 87-1 at the first drinks break but the required rate is already over 9 per over. 'Nelson' claims two wickets - a double strike in the 25th over by Nick Greenwood - Musa Shaheen lbw missing a reverse sweep and Saif Ahmad caught second ball. In the end scoreboard pressure inevitably gifted wickets to the spinners and the hosts ran out comfortable winners.

Not much else forthcoming for the Danes as wickets fell, Alei Nao claiming three, Michael Charlie two with one each for Sese Bau and John Kariko. Shakeel Zeb with the big wickets of Sese Bau and Assad Vala as PNG struggle to make headway in the chase, 79-4 at the halfway stage with 145 more needed. Kipling Doriga and Patrick Nou add 85 of those to keep PNG hopes alive before Nou chips tamely to mid off. 40 required off the final 5 overs but just 3 wickets in hand. Singles not enough and a couple of catches in the deep off Surya Anand sees the Barramundis fall 19 runs short.
