A hero's welcome for Asa Tribe (ICC)
Asa Tribe freed from duty with Glamorgan back into the side and do Jersey need him today wickets tumbling around him! Two wickets fall with him on 99*. Last man George Richardson survives two balls and Tribe completes his century next over. Tribe turning down singles to farm the strike. 150 for Tribe and the Fifty partnership with Richardson on 0!! Simply magnificent hitting as the 49th goes 4,4,6,6,4, and the single to face the last over. He's caught first ball on the long-off boundary - a 10th wicket partnership of 78 - Tribe 78, Richardson 0. In their reply PNG sank to 11-4, two wickets each for Carlyon and Sumerauer and there was no way back despite resistance from Vagi Guba and Damien Ravu. 'Spin to Win' they say and today it was two wickets for each of the Jersey spin quartet, Greenwood, Blampied, Richardson and Carlyon.
World Cup Challenge League A, Jersey beat Denmark by 89 runs.

Grainville, 25 August.
Jersey 348-3 (50 overs; J Lawrenson 139, N Greenwood 107, Z Tribe 49*, J Jenner 27*; S Zeb 2-64)
Denmark 259 (45 overs; L Ali 52, M Shaheen 50, S Heath 41, T Bharal 40, S Zeb 22, H Shah 21; D Blampied 3-48, N Greenwood 2-36, J Lawrenson 2-48)
Josh Lawrenson and Nick Greenwood's partnership was worth 214 (JCB)
The Jersey Boys put in a performance worthy of their namesakes to entertain a large Bank-Holiday crowd at a sun drenched Granville. A 214 second wicket partnership between Nick Greenwood and Josh Lawrenson the highlight of an innings that also saw Zac Tribe and Jonty Jenner pepper the crowd on the bank with late runs. Solid start from the Danes 87-1 at the first drinks break but the required rate is already over 9 per over. 'Nelson' claims two wickets - a double strike in the 25th over by Nick Greenwood - Musa Shaheen lbw missing a reverse sweep and Saif Ahmad caught second ball. In the end scoreboard pressure inevitably gifted wickets to the spinners and the hosts ran out comfortable winners.
World Cup Challenge League A, Jersey tied with Kuwait

Farmers, 23 August.
Kuwait 223-9 (50 overs; M Bhavsar 53, Y Patel 36*, A Zaheer 29, U Patel 25, M Amin 23; J Lawrenson 3-27, G Richardson 2-30)
Jersey 223-8 (50 overs; H Carlyon 77, J Lawrenson 44, Z Tribe 44*, J Sumerauer 28; M Shafeeq 3-29, S Khan 2-50)
A late flurry of runs from Yasin Patel and Shiraz Khan who added fifty for the eighth wicket has left the hosts chasing a rather bigger total than looked likely for most of the Kuwaiti innings. Josh Lawrenson again in the wickets adding three today to the four he claimed versus Kenya. Harrison Carlyon and Josh Lawrensen added 124 but both out within an over of each other. Jonty Jenner and Zac Tribe start the rebuilding job but Jenner drags on for only 6. Middle order wobble. Less than 20 needed but Sumerauer and Blampied both gone Five overs and 3 wickets left with 18 needed. Two needed off the final over and Dunford gives it the charge and slaps a catch to short mid wicket off the first! Dot to Chuggy and a single, 2 dots to Zac, one ball left scores tied! Hit hard to mid on and Tribe can't beat the fielder to the stumps - a tie!! You wonder whether trying to hit a boundary cost Jersey the win - hittting hard at the ball when 'tip and run' might have been the answer.
World Cup Challenge League A, Jersey beat Kenya by 7 wickets.

Farmers, 21 August.
Kenya 115 (36.1 overs; R Patel 34, S Bhudia 30; J Lawrenson 4-25, N Greenwood 3-20, C Perchard 2-23)
Jersey 116-3 (23.5 overs; Z Tribe 56*, J Jenner 45*; N Odhiambo 3-18)
Peter Langat is bowled by Josh Lawrenson (ICC.tv)
The Jersey Boys keeping the once mighty Kenya under strict control in the opening overs, captain Charles Perchard with the breakthrough in his first over. A real struggle for Kenya, off-spinner Josh Lawrenson removing the middle order and Nick Greenwood picking up the rest. Jersey lose a wicket in the first over of the chase, a loose waft outside off sees Greenwood drag his first delivery back onto the stumps and Lawrenson follows also without scoring and Carlyon survives a simple drop at extra cover, a nervy start from the hosts! And no third life for Carlyon as he chips tamely to mid on - three for Nelson Odhiambo. A half century partnership between Zac Tribe and Jonty Jenner steadied the ship and they made it a century with the winning run.

Jersey 118-5 (30.4 overs; J Kemp 37, B Heelis 36*; Y Chauhan 2-17)
Abhiunav Ravuri a lone figure holding up Jersey as Sweden struggled to make any impression on the scoreboard - turgid stuff and Jersey will expect no problems in chasing down a low total. But, that wasn't how it panned out initially as the Channel Islanders slumped to 62 for 5 despite Jack Kemp's 37. Their nerves were soothed though by an unbroken sixth wicket stand of 56 between Ben Heelis 36* (5 fours) and Barney Ashton (17*) as they clinched a five-wicket win to finish the competition on a high note.

POTM Manu Saraswat (Cricket Scotland)
A Man of the Match performance from Manu Saraswat ensured Scotland claimed their second win of the Qualifier as the hosts chased down their target with almost five overs to spare, adding an unbeaten half-century to his earlier four wicket haul.
Under 19 World Cup European Qualifier: Jersey beat Denmark by 100 runs (DLS)
Lochside Park, Forfar, 31 July.
Jersey 268-7 (50 overs: J Kemp 106, B Gurner 83, B Heelis 33; S Withanachchi 2-34)
Denmark 155 (36.3 overs: M Aslam 80; T Pullman 3-26) (Target 256 in 45 overs)
A 183 run second wicket partnership between Jack Kemp and Beau Gurner set the Jersey Boys on their way to an impressive first innings total. Theo Pullman with three quick wickets put the Danes firmly on the back foot with only Mustakim Aslam providing any resistance to the Islanders. Sanuja Withanachchi's 18 the only other double figure score in the Swedish card.
Men's T20 World Cup European Qualifier: Jersey beat Scotland by 1 wicket.
Voorburg, 11 July.
Scotland 133-7 (20 overs; M Cross 43*, M Watt 28, R Berrington 20; H Carlyon 3-26, B Ward 2-24)
Jersey 134-9 (20 overs; N Greenwood 49; M Watt 2-22, C Greaves 2-25, S Sharif 2-32)
A sensational last ball win by Jersey that keeps their World Cup hopes alive while Scotland miss out! A disastrous start by the Scots who found themselves 64-6 in a vital game for both sides' hopes in securing a World T20 Finals place with a 61 run 7th wicket partnership between Matt Cross and Mark Watt saving their blushes. A quick start to the chase but with wickets falling at regular intervals Scotland fought their way back into the game. A couple of dropped catches and a missed stumping were to prove costly as Jersey quite literally scrambled over the line.
Men's T20 World Cup European Qualifier: Jersey beat Guernsey by 22 runs.
Voorburg, 8 July.
Jersey 160-4 (20 overs; H Carlyon 63, J Jenner 48, J Sumerauer 29*; L Bichard 2-26)
Guernsey 138-5 (20 overs; M Stokes 62*, O Nightingale 57; H Carlyon 2-8)
A fine all round performance from Harrison Carlyon helped Jersey beat their fellow Channel Islanders Guernsey by 22 runs. The off spinning allrounder scored 63 from 50 balls to help Jersey post 160-4 and then took 2-8 opening the bowling. A 124 run partnership between Matthew Stokes (62 not out) and Oliver Nightingale (57) for the fifth wicket saw Guernsey get closer than they perhaps deserved, but the late acceleration was just a little too late and Guernsey were kept to 138-5,.

Max O'Dowd hits out against Jersey (KNCB)
The hosts were in action first up against Jersey with the visitors put into bat by Dutch captain Scott Edwards. Zak Tribe top scored for Jersey with 39, with Charlie Brennan's unbeaten 32 towards the end of their innings helping them post 160-7 from their 20 overs. The Netherlands took almost their full quota of overs to chase down their target but that probably flattered Jersey a little. After Michael Levitt was bowled by Harrison Carlyon in the first over, Max O'Dowd and Zach Lion-Cachet added 101 for the second wicket before the latter was out for 50.
