Glendermott were always there or thereabouts in the promotion race and picked up sliverware in the Sammy Jeffrey trophy. 2026 promises to be a really pivotal one for the Rectory side as they celebrate their centenary, and who would bet against a return to the Premiership.

Ben Mills was their standout performer and his haul of 54 wickets at just 12.65 was duly recognised with awards at the NW dinner. For good measure he scored 654 runs at 29.73 to complete an excellent campaign.

Craig Doherty was Glendermott's leading run scorer, making 668 at 33.40 (5 fifties, 1 hundred), while Alan Johnson chipped in with 416 at 21.89, and Geeth Kumara plundered 411 at 102.75 in his linited cameo roles.

Others worthy of a mention are Ryan Nolan (263), Jason Lynch (244), Jake Montgomery (238), and Ted Britton (206).

Britton picked up 29 wickets at 14.62 - spin to win being the way to go at The Rectory.

JJ O'Brien and Alan Johnson each collected 21 scalps at 13.09 and 23,24 respectively, while others who contributed were Alex Boyd (19 at 21.32), Curtis Ross (15 at 27.06), and Ryan Nolan (13 at 35.46).

Glendermott have already made their intentions clear with the signing of Nasir Nawaz as their overseas professional for 2026, and you get the feeling that next year could well be a memorable one both on and off the field.
