Ireland crushed yet again by Pakistan

Ireland Women's recent slump shows no sign of abating after another crushing defeat to Pakistan in the ODI at Rathmines.

The Irish managed just 123 all out as they chased an imposing Pakistan total of 280 for 7.

Only Cecelia Joyce (29) and Isobel Joyce (21) offered any semblance of resistance as the Pakistan bowlers spun their way to a mammoth 157 run win.

Earlier Kim Garth (3-39) and Amy Kenealy (3-48) each picked up three wickets as Nida Dar (87) and Bismah Maroof (80) put the Irish attack to the sword.

The teams meet again tomorrow in the final ODI before the teams switch to T20 mode ahead of the World Cup Qualifying tournament in the region next week.
