Papua New Guinea batsman Jamie Brazier and USA captain Steve Massiah have both been reprimanded for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the ICC Trophy match between the two sides on 9 July.

Brazier was found guilty of breaching Level 1.3 of the ICC Code of Conduct which relates to 'showing dissent at an umpire's decision by action or verbal abuse'. The incident occurred when Brazier showed dissent upon being dismissed.

Massiah was found guilty of breaching provision C1 of the Code at Level 1 for failing to 'play within the spirit of the game as well as within the Laws of Cricket' after a deliberate attempt to mislead the umpire.

Both players were reported by the match umpires Aravinda de Silva and Buddhi Pradhan and pleaded guilty at hearings conducted by tournament referee Darrell Hair today. If either breaches the same provision of the ICC Code in the next 12 months they could face a suspension from international cricket.
