Uganda has produced a poor start to the ICC Trophy Ireland 2005 in Belfast, losing by 26 runs to Denmark and 127 runs to hosts Ireland in their first two games.
At both matches it is the batting that has greatly let down the East Africans who have otherwise showed great potential in the bowling and fielding departments.
"Most of the boys are struggling against the harsh weather conditions and the slow wickets that are different from those in Uganda," explained team manager Richard Mwami.
"The white ball is another new experience for the boys but we are still hopeful and expect better shows in the last three group matches."
It is now evident that a change in the batting strategy is the only option the side has before playing the last three games.
Uganda captain Joel Olweny said: "It is painful bowling well but failing to bat, I think it is high time we think twice about the batting department."
In their opening two matches Uganda's bowlers restricted Denmark to 196 and Ireland to 231 but their batting replies have been only 168 all out and 104 all out.
