An early Paras Khadka dismissal can often signal defeat for Nepal, and it looked that way today when he was dismissed from the first ball of Nepal's run chase against Hong Kong. And sure enough, Nepal stayed on the back foot and were 36-4 in the seventh over of their run chase.

That dismissal brought Bond Bhandari to the crease, who has previous when it comes to digging Nepal out of a hole after an early collapse. He did so again here, scoring an unbeaten 58 from 48 balls to help secure a four wicket win with an over to spare.

Earlier Karan KC had taken four wickets for 36 runs as Nepal bowled Hong Kong out for 125-6. Waqas Barkat top scored for them with 37. The result leaves them at the foot of the table with two defeats from two matches.

Hong Kong coach Trent Johnston will have familiar opponents tomorrow afternoon when his charges take on Ireland. Nepal will play the Netherlands earlier in the day.
