In 2013 Robin Walsh became President of Cricket Ireland. He filled the role with great commitment during a year which turned out to be both tremendously successful on the pitch and a historic one off it.

Fortunately Robin, a man with a trained eye and stylish pen, was there to witness it all — and then to share it with everyone. Throughout his presidency he wrote a regular diary which appeared on the Cricket Ireland website but it clearly deserved a larger audience and a permanent place on the shelf of Irish cricketing literature.

So the Cricket Writers of Ireland organisation published his diary.
