In 2001 Paddy O'Hara was in Toronto as an official umpire during the ICC Trophy competition. Also there was Dr Murray Power who was scoring for Ireland, and Ian Callender reporting for the News Letter.

Photographs don't lie, or do they?

In the tournament in Canada the good doctor - E.M Power - reached the wonderful milestone of having 'notched' in 200 international matches. A truly impressive record.

The Canadian version of 'The News of the World' sports photographer (PL O'Hara), did not miss the chance and chose the obvious headline for this photograph "Murray scores for the 200th time in Canada."

Not to be outdone, 'Scoop' Callender was on the job the next day, getting the low down on the story - and the celebration. All in the line of duty of course. Or so he said!

All the above is in jest of course. Pamela was our waitress for the celebratory meal. While Murray's achievement was a high point, there were many lows for the Irish team who crashed out of the competition after a tournament to forget.

She happily posed for the photographs in an attempt to get a generous tip from our intrepid duo.

She had the same success as the Irish team.
