The India and Irish teams were both at Dhaka airport where they had played the opening games of the tournament against Bangladesh.

While the teams were busy on their phones, and reading various books, papers etc I knew this was an opportunity to get a photo of the two together that may never happen again as Tendulkar was approaching the end of his career.

It's never easy disturbing players and you have to choose your moment carefully. I first asked Paul would he be ok with it, and he was as you would expect keen if Sachin agreed.

Now the two teams were on opposite sides of the lounge, separated like the men and women at a 1940s parish dance in Ireland.

We got lucky however in that Pete Johnston was very friendly with his Indian analyst counterpart, and he made our request which Sachin readily agreed to.

I captioned the photograph 'The Little Master …and Sachin!"

During the tournament, Paul would become the youngest player to score a World Cup century at the age of 20 years and 196 days, beating the previous record held by Aussie great Ricky Ponting.

He has scored a few more since.
