It's a match winning catch by Reinhardt Strydom for North County against Strabane which is the latest photo by Joe Curtis to feature in our series.

North County vs Strabane 9th August 2006.

North County win by 37 runs in a remarkable game where Mark Gillespie was last man out for Strabane for a top score of 113 from 102 balls.

To put his score in context the next highest for his team was Patton’s 22 runs, although Extras did well at 32 runs.

North County had posted 286 runs for 6 wickets with Andre Botha making 92 and Reinhardt Strydom making 75 and Dara Armstrong chipping in with a quick 41 near the end.

Strabane lost wickets at key moments throughout their innings, but Mark Gillespie took them so close with still four overs to go they only needed 40 runs to win.

The final curtain fell when Reinhardt Strydom held a running catch in front of a raucous and relieved North County clubhouse to remove Gillespie.

Disappointing for Strabane but a great game of cricket to watch.
