Warwickshire fought back well to record a three wicket win over Notts, with William Porterfield scoring 10 and 22, and team mate Boyd Rankin taking 3-40 and 1-32.

George Dockrell took 3 wickets for 48, and 2-70 as Somerset drew with Lancashire, making 6 not out when he batted.

Tim Murtagh had figures of 1-16 and 1-82 as Middlesex drew with Northants.

In T20 action, Willia Porterfield for the Brummie Bears as they lost to Northants by 15 runs, while he hit 74 as they were beaten by Derbyshire by 3 wickets - Boyd Rankin going for a whopping 52 in his spell, although he did pick up two wickets.

Surrey recorded 8 wicket wins over Kent and Hampshire to go second in the league table.

Gary Wilson was unbeaten in both games, making 12 ans 31, finishing the game against Hampshire with a four and a six from successive deliveries.
