Peel and St John's are poised to win the Standard Bank Premiership. With only two matches left, they lead the table by 24 points from second placed Castletown.

All games were washed out last Saturday which has made life very difficult for the Town and the other contender for the title, last season's champion's Cronkbourne.

On Saturday the Saints travel to Tromode for what could be an epic match. Peel and St John's have not been beaten in either the Premiership or the Standard Bank Cain League while Cronkbourne have won the last four Karran games they have played.

This has the makings of a high scoring match with plenty of drama. Watching closely will be Castletown whose fixture this week-end is on Sunday. Again it will be at Tromode, but against Valkyres who are in fourth place.

The Town are expected to win this clash, but by then the title could be beyond their grasp. However, a Cronkbourne victory could lead to a dramatic showdown next week when the Town play their final game at Mullen-e-Cloie.
