Hosts Malaysia showed again why they're one of the favourites for promotion to Division Four with a big win over the Cayman Islands again today at the Bayuemas Oval.

Batting first after losing the toss, Malaysia's innings was built around a superb display by Nasir Shafiq. The 40 year old, who played first-class cricket in Pakistan just over a decade ago, was playing just his second match for his adopted nation, but already has the record for their highest one-day score.

Batting throughout the 50 overs, Shafiq scored 151 from 149 balls, hitting 16 fours and 4 sixes. The next highest score was only 37 - by captain Ahmed Faiz - but Shafiq's innings helped Malaysia post 333-5.

The Cayman Islands were unable to even get near Malaysia's huge total, and they struggled to make runs throughout their innings. Khizar Hayat took 3-15, before Hassan Mohammed took 4-10 in just 2.4 overs to polish off the tail.

The Caymans were bowled out for 120, losing by 213 runs. They will have a day off tomorrow before they take on Nigeria on Sunday. Malaysia will look to continue their unbeaten start to the tournament when they play fellow unbeaten team Jersey on Sunday.
