The Island faces an exciting start to the ICC Europe Division Two championships in June. Their opening game against Norway goes ahead on the Essex County Ground under floodlights. This will be a big test for the Manx who have not played before under lights.

Other nations taking part in the tournament are Germany, Austria, Gibraltar and the winners of the Division Three championship to be held at the end of April in Spain.

The Island has several warm-up games before the Internationals. On the previous Friday the Manx play matches against the MCC at Tromode and, two days later take on Hadleigh and Thundersley, one of the leading sides in the Essex league

As well as the County Ground in Chelmsford, the Division Two fixtures are at Southend and Billericay. Colin Jones is the team manager and the squad members are expected to be named soon.

The home season will begin on Saturday 26th April with Cronkbourne, champions of the Standard Bank Premiership, pitted against the Rest of the Island. The leagues start the following week-end and a club Six-A-Side competition makes a welcome return in July.

The Annual General Meeting of the IOMCA is on Wednesday 26th March and the Fixtures Meeting is set for Wednesday 5th March. The venue for both events is the Cronkbourne pavilion at Tromode.
