Hong Kong are still in with a chance of qualifying for the World Cup after beating Namibia by 76 runs in Rangiora today.

After Hong Kong lost both openers early on in their innings, their total was reliant on a big fourth wicket partnership of 155 between Mark Chapman and Nizakat Khan. Chapman dominated the partnership, scoring 82.

Khan stayed in after Chapman was dismissed, eventually finishing with the top score of the innings with 85. Louis Klazinga was the pick of the Namibian bowlers with 4-65 as Hong Kong scored 283-9 from their 50 overs.

Namibia's reply was also dominated by one partnership, this one a partnership of 70 for the sixth wicket between Craig Williams and Christi Viljoen. But Namibia were never really in the hunt, and they were bowled out for 207, Haseeb Amjad taking 4-33.

Hong Kong now need to record a big win against Papua New Guinea on Thursday and hope that one of Kenya and Namibia win their matches against Scotland and the UAE respectively. Even then, it'll come down to net run rate.
