The match resumed under blue skies as Namibia 59 for 2 overnight looked to get the 221 runs for victory.
Baard and Williams showed intent from the off as they looked to get bon top of the Scottish bowling and they took the score to 75 before Baard was run out. He played the ball to point where Richie Berrington dived to his right to stop the ball and then quickly returned the ball to the bowler's end where Rob Taylor completed the run out.
Williams was then joined by Nicolaas Scholtz and they looked to build a platform for the lower order and at the drinks break at the end of 33 overs they were 152 for 3 with Williams having survived a sharp stumping chance reaching a half century.
In the second over after the drinks break Sharif made the breakthrough when he beat Scholtz for pace to send his middle stump cart wheeling. He had made 38 for 57 balls and it was 155 for 4.
Mommsen kept switching his bowlers around to unsettle the batsmen and the rate started to rise moving to over 8.5. The pressure told and Williams gave himself some roof to play through the off side and he missed the ball and Sharif hits the off stump. He had made 57 from 91 balls.
Sharif struck again in his next over as Viljoen as he goes for a big hit only to find the safe hands of Machan at mid off and it was 171 for 6 with the rate required over 9 for the first time.
Snyman, who only made the Namibian squad after two of the originals players were injured, was joined by Kotze and he tried to take the attack to Scotland, however having got to 22 the pressure told and looking to go over the top could only find the hands of Richie Berrington and it was 198 for 7.
Smit and Kotze attacked to try and chase the runs down, but once Koetze was stumped by Cross for 18 and Smit (38)after some lusty blows was caught in the deep by Calum Macleod the Namibian charge was halted and they fell 21 runs short
Sharif with 4 for 55 was the pick of the Scottish attack along with Rod Taylor who finished with 2 for 47.
Scotland move into second place in the table and will now take on PNG at the same venue on Tuesday.
