Bermuda's surprise start to the World Twenty20 Qualifier continued this morning when they beat Denmark by nine wickets in Dubai.

Denmark, batting first after winning the toss, scored steadily to start with, and were on 59-3 in the tenth over when controversy struck. Dion Stovell mankaded Danish captain Michael Pedersen to take the fourth wicket, and the big hitting Freddie Klokker was out three balls later, leaving the score on 63-5.

Hamid Shah top scored for Denmark, scoring 31 from 30 balls, whilst Derrick Brangman was the pick of the bowlers with 3-29 as the Danes scored 111-8 from their 20 overs. It was a low total, unlikely to trouble Bermuda.

And indeed they had almost no trouble chasing it, losing only one wicket in the process. Tre Manders led the way with an unbeaten 45, whilst David Hemp was also in there at the end with an innings of 27.

Denmark will have a day off tomorrow as they look to regroup ahead of taking on Kenya on Monday. Bermuda will be looking for another win against a European side when they take on the Netherlands tomorrow.
