Ten days to go - and East Africa's two top cricketing nations - Kenya and Uganda - will be chomping at the bit to get started in the World T20 global qualifiers beginning on November 15 in UAE.

The two sides, ironically, will not face each other; but both will be eager to secure one of the six places available for the T20 World Cup proper next year.

Kenya have two warm-up games, against Namibia and Hong Kong, before they take on Papua New Guinea, Nepal, Denmark, Scotland, Bermuda, the Nertherlands and Afghanistan. Uganda warm up against PNG and the Afghans; then face UAE, Hong Kong, Italy, Canada, USA, Ireland and Namibia.

Kenya will be playing most of their games at their nemesis, Dubai, while Uganda are based in Abu Dhabi, where they have quite a good record.

Whether or not the two are among the six that go through to join the 'big boyz', Uganda's and Kenya's next port of call will be New Zealand, where both take part in the World Cup 50/50 qualifiers throughout January.
