Denmark have beaten Jersey by 49 runs at VOC Cricket Club in Rotterdam today, to ensure that they don't finish bottom in the tournament and complete a double over the two Channel Islands sides.

Batting first after winning the toss, Danish opening batsman Anders Bulow led the way from the start with a patient innings of 43, sharing in a third wicket partnership of 63 with his captain Raja Basit Javed.

Javed stayed in to score 36, with Saad Ahmad also contributing with 40 from fifty balls. James Duckett and Paul McCafferty both took three wickets for Jersey as Denmark made 191-9 from their 50 overs.

Jersey's reply owed much to a slow innings of 47 from Stephen Le Maistre that featured no boundaries, but the only other notable innings was 27 from Paul McCafferty, who shared in a 56 run partnership for the sixth wicket with Le Maistre.

Jonty Jenner had his first failure of the tournament by being dismissed for 2, whilst Mukarram Hussain was the pick of the Danish bowlers with 4-26 as Jersey were bowled out for 142 with 4.5 overs to spare, completing the 49 run win for Denmark.
