Ireland and the Netherlands women will have to wait until tomorrow for their chance to secure a place in next year's T20 World Cup in Bangladesh.

Heavy rain saw the game called off just before 4pm after The Netherlands won the toss and opted to bowl.

The clash between the Irish and Dutch is the third-place play-off game with only three qualifying spots are available.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka have already booked their places in Bangladesh next year - their final was also badly affected by the elements - Pakistan made 112 for 5 but the Lankan ladies couldn't start their innings and it will resume at 10:00 at Claremont Road.

Following that game the Irish and Dutch will have their 'take two' at 2pm. If no play is possible tomorrow then Ireland will get that third spot by virtue of their superior record in the qualifiers - two wins to the Dutch solitary success.
