IRELAND will play Netherlands tomorrow with a place at the 2014 World T20 at stake.

In yesterday's qualifier semi-final the Irish women fell yet again to Pakistan - their seventh heavy defeat in the past three weeks.

The main problem for the Irish side, as it was against Sri Lanka on Saturday, was run-scoring.

The strong top order of Claire Shillington (5), Isobel Joyce (0) and Cecelia Joyce (7) has failed to fire as the competition heats up, and of their team mates only Kim Garth has stepped up.

The 17-year-old showed remarkable maturity to make an unbeaten 38, but a total of 65 was just two more than the record-low score at the weekend.

The Pakistani spinners foxed the Irish, notably left-armer Sadia Yousuf who teamed up with keeper Batool Fatima for three sharp stumpings.

Despite a rain break, and a wicket for Garth, Pakistan strolled to the target with almost six overs to spare.
