With one round of matches still to play in the round robin stage of WCL Division Four in Kuala Lumpur, Tanzania and hosts Malaysia have been confirmed as the two teams to face relegation to Division Six, but the promotion spots are still all to play for.

Pre-tournament favourites Nepal played the USA at the Kinrara Academy Oval today, batting first after Paras Khadka won the toss. These two teams have become familiar opponents in recent years, this being the seventh time they have met in World Cricket League action since their first meeting in Division Five in Jersey back in 2008.

The first wicket for Nepal put on 111, shared by three players when Anil Mandal retired hurt. That partnership ended when Gayendra Malla was out for 46 in the 29th over. Opener Subash Khakurel stayed in until the penultimate over, scoring 115 to provide the backbone to Nepal's total of 258-8.

The USA reply started badly when the dangerous Steven Taylor was dismissed for 17 in the 5th over. Whilst Sushil Nadkarni batted well to score 84, and Steve Massiah chipped in with 41, the USA were never really in the hunt and were bowled out for 226.

Basanta Regmi was the pick of the Nepalese bowlers with 5-35 to take his team to a 32 run win. With Nepal being the only unbeaten team in the tournament, and with a high net run rate, they will be favourites to gain promotion to WCL Division Three for the first time, but promotion is not quite secured yet.

A team looking for an immediate return to Division Three is Denmark, who took on Malaysia at the Bayuemas Oval.

Malaysia batted first after winning the toss, and both openers were dismissed cheaply inside the first eight overs. The middle order recovered well though, with captain Suhan Alagaratnam leading the way with 48. They managed to score 252 before being bowled out from the penultimate ball of the match, with Lejf Slebsager and Hamid Shah taking three wickets each.

The Danes started their chase well, reaching 71-1 in the 16th over. They then lost three quick wickets to be on 81-4 in the 21st over. Carsten Pedersen was still at the crease though, and his innings of 83 helped his team towards the total.

When he was dismissed in the 39th over with the score on 180-6, the match was far from decided though. But the seventh and eighth wickets combined put on 74 to secure a three wicket win with 11 balls to spare, and confirm Malaysia's relegation back to Division Five.

Denmark have a good chance of promotion back to Division Three, but rumours have it that Freddie Klokker will be flying back to the Netherlands to play for Excelsior in the Dutch Topklasse final, potentially leaving a big hole in the Danish side.

The other team to be relegated are Tanzania, who were only able to score 94 against Singapore at the Selangor Turf Club. Abhik Patwa made the only significant contribution with 47, with Abhiraj Singh the pick of the bowlers with 5-12.

The chase was no problem for Singapore, and they chased down the required total in 11.2 overs to win by eight wickets, Chetan Suryawanshi scoring an unbeaten 62.

Tomorrow is a rest day in Kuala Lumpur, and Sunday's matches will see Nepal play Denmark and Singapore play the USA in the two matches that will confirm the promotion spots, whilst the two relegated sides will be looking to record a first win when Malaysia take on Tanzania.
