No play was possible in either of the two matches scheduled for today at Bready.

An early morning inspection determined that the ground had not recovered sufficiently from yesterday's thunderstorms to allow the first game, between The Netherlands and Scotland to proceed.

A sunny morning and a drying wind held out hope for the afternoon match between Ireland and Scotland. Lunch was taken early and the groundstaff marked the pitch. However high winds which were reaching gale force then brought heavy rain sweeping across the ground to end all prospects of play.

Tomorrow, the final day of the tournament, sees Ireland play The Netherlands at 0930, followed by Scotland against The Netherlands at 1500. The weather prospects are rather better!
