The Netherlands have retained the ICC Europe Under-15 title after a big win over Guernsey at KGV today.

Batting first after winning the toss, Guernsey batted cautiously, seemingly hoping to survive their fifty overs. Will Fazakerly scored a patient 44 before he was run out, and his dismissal sparked a collapse.

Faced with some tight bowling, the 20 overs of spin from Daniel Doram and Asad Zulfiqar going for just 27 runs, both taking a wicket, Guernsey lost wickets regularly. Sikander Zulfiqar came back towards the end of the innings and took three more wickets, ending with 4-29.

Guernsey had been bowled out for 112, with only the openers reaching double figures.

The Netherlands wasted little time in scoring those runs and reached their target in 22.4 overs to win by 8 wickets, Saqib Zulfiqar capping a good day for the Zulfiqar triplets by top scoring with an unbeaten 52.
