With Scotland beating Guernsey yesterday, the were hoping to make it a Channel Island double with a win over Jersey today at KGV.
Jersey captain Jonty Jenner won the toss and chose to bat first. Scotland bowled well and only James Duckett was able to make a decent score with 55. Jersey collapsed from 95-3 to 109-6 and then from 128-6 from 136 all out.
Mitchell Rao was the pick of the Scottish bowlers with two wickets for just nine runs from his five overs.
Scotland lost skipper Scott Cameron early on in their reply but recovered quickly with a 54 run partnership for the second wicket. It was Ben Wilkinson who top scored with an unbeaten 31 as Scotland won by 5 wickets in a relatively comfortable 36.5 overs.
The run chase ensured that Scotland top the table going into tomorrow's rest day, and they will have a crucial contest against the other unbeaten team the Netherlands on Thursday, when Jersey will be taking on arch-rivals Guernsey.
