Belgium claimed seventh spot in the competition thanks to a hard fought 11 run win against a spirited Austrian side at Grainville.
Batting first, Belgium lost the early wicket of Sheraz Sheikh Mohammed, bowled by Soggi without scoring in the second over.
Nirvam Shah and Jamie Farmiloe added 45 for the second wicket, before Shah was bowled by the impressive Imran Asif for 23.
Belgium had been restricted to just 39 from the first ten overs, but Jamie Farmiloe increased the run rate considerably in the second half, with 60 runs coming in the following six overs.
A feature of the Belgium innings was the speed of the running between the wickets with scampered singles and ones being turned into twos. Farmiloe reached a well deserved half century from 43 balls (3 fours), as Belgium took their total to 125 for 8 in their 20 overs.
Simon Newport (16) and Shahid Muhammad (12) were the other players to reach double figures. Wasif Saluja, Imran Asif and Lakmal all picked up two wickets apiece for Austria.
There was no fairy tale ending for Andrew Simpson-Parker who opened the innings in his final international appearance, as he went caught first ball.
Indeed a flurry of early wickets saw Austria crumble to 15 for 4, as Belgium held a succession of excellent catches.
If Belgium thought the game was going to be comfortably won, Imran Asif had different ideas as he smashed 49 from 45 balls (5 fours).
In the end Austria finished just 11 runs short on 114 all out in 19.3 overs. Faisal Khaliq (3-18), Shahid Muhammed (2-16), and Waqas Shafiq (2-24) were the most successful of the Belgium attack.
