In Friday afternoon's matches in the battle for fifth to eighth places, Hellas secured a 19-run victory over Finland at Royal Brussels, while in Ghent Spain comfortably accounted for Luxembourg by eight wickets.
Put in by Finland's captain Jonathan Scamans, Hellas got away to a fine start with a stand of 52 between Oliver Hutton (42) and Georgios Stogiannos (32), with Hutton batting almost throughout the innings and eventually helping his skipper Stavros Nikitaras to add 56 for the fifth wicket.
Nikitaras made an unbeaten 40 from 18 deliveries with three fours and three sixes, while Stamatios Giourgas also chipped in with a rapid-fire, 9-ball innings of 22 as Hellas reached 168 for five.
Obaidullah Sadiqui, Madhu Bhandari and Ekhpelwak Kuchey collected a wicket apiece for Finland.
Kuchey was also among the runs, making 34 off 22 balls in the Finnish middle order, while opener Zahidullah Kamal contributed 28 from 21.
But Finland kept losing wickets as they tried to maintain the required run rate, and with Georgios Toulantas taking three for 27 and Hutton three for 12 they were finally dismissed for 119 off the final ball of the 19th over.
Spain had much less trouble in overcoming Luxembourg, who could only manage 86 for seven against a well-organised, disciplined Spanish attack.
Taral Desai was again the pick of the Luxembourg batsmen with 27 not out, but Tony Whiteman (12) and Sebastian Finch (11) were the only other members of the side to reach double figures.
The wickets were shared, with Talat Nadeem taking two for 18, and one apiece for Tanvir Iqbal, Armaghan Khan, Farhat Mahmood and Gary Crompton. Stand-in keeper Shafique Ali was responsible for two catches and a stumping, and was also involved in a run-out.
Desai quickly removed Shafique when Spain replied, but then Christian Munoz-Mills (27 not out), James Morgan (24) and Pedro Venus Valiente had little difficulty in knocking off the runs, ensuring their side would meet Hellas in Saturday's fifth-place final as they took Spain home with more than seven overs to spare.
