It was a superb season for Woodvale who finished second in the Premiership and came very close to securing the title for the first time since 1966.
It was very much a case of what could have been, thanks primarily to two stand out performers. Ruhan Pretorius scored 1173 runs at an average of 69, with 5 centuries and 5 fifties. He also picked up 35 wickets at 16.80 to complete a superb campaign.
With the ball Aditya Adey was the region's leading wicket taker as he claimed 48 wickets at 16.77 that included two five-wicket hauls. Adaey also chipped in with 431 runs at 22.68.
Ludwig Kaestner hit two hundreds in his tally of 609 runs at 35.82, while Harry Warke had a decent season in getting 546 at 24.82.
While Woodvale certainly have some real quality, they lack the depth of other sides and that will always be a factor when it comes to trophies.
Their biggest challenge over the winter will be holding onto their prize assets as no doubt there will be plenty looking for them.
