Oman have sneaked past Nepal in a last over thriller in their latest CWC League 2 match in King City, Ontario.
Put into bat, Nepal quickly found themselves three down with 31 on the board. A partnership of 83 for the fourth wicket between Rohit Paudel and Aarif Sheikh staved off complete collapse, but they were scoring slowly and it was the 37th over before Sheikh was out for 35 from 88 balls.
The scoring then accelerated with Paudel the next man out for 60 from 72 balls, with Gulshan Jha clubbing 53 from only 35 deliveries. The final total for Nepal was 220-9.

Oman's innings went very differently, starting with a 75 run partnership between Kashyap Prajapati and Jatinder Singh. That partnership ended when Singh was out for 41 to start the 17th over, with Prajapati reaching 36 before he was out.
Oman then kept losing wickets at crucial moments with Gulshan Jha taking five of them for 47 runs before his spell finished with the 48th over, that over being a wicket maiden with ten runs needed. Karan KC then went for just two runs in the 49th over, meaning that Oman needed eight from the last with a wicket in hand,
Sompal Kami was chosen to bowl it, and he conceded a single with the first ball, followed by a four from the second. After a dot ball came another single after which Kaleemullah hit a four to secure the one wicket win with just one ball to spare.
Oman next play on Friday against hosts Canada, whilst Nepal play next on Sunday, also against the Canadians.
