Ardmore secured Premiership cricket for 2025 after a hard-fought 19-run over St Johnston at Bready.

Skipper Rachit Gaur top-scored with an unbeaten 62, adding 61 in six overs with Edrees, who thumped 4 sixes in a 21-ball 44 - three of them in successive balls from Graeme McCarter - in a late surge that took the Bleachgreen side to 201 for 7.

Ardmore got three early wickets to be on top, but the Saints edged their way back in with a fourth wicket stand of 68 between opener David Lapsley (46) and Graeme McCarter.

The required rate though had reached double figures as the Donegal side left their charge just too late as scoreboard pressure eventually told despite the best efforts of McCarter who made an unbeaten 81 (8 fours, 2 sixes).

Edrees (3-51) and Rachit (2-18) bowled well to complete excellent all-round games, with Dave Bezzant also picking up a couple in the win.

That completes the NW season with plenty to think about for both camps over the winter. Like all clubs, one or two additions will be on the agenda for sure.
