Irish Senior Cup winners Phoenix were victorious again as half centuries from Jack Lalor and Shane Getkate, plus 44 from Head Coach Tyrone Kane propelled them to a comfortable 98-run win against Leinster at Rathmines.

There was one of those statistical quirks in that Phoenix had three partnerships of 69 in their innings of 261 for 8. Top scorer Lalor, whose 71 included 10 fours and a six was involved with two of them.

Shane Getkate made 54 (8 fours, 1 six), while there were runs too for Amish Sidhu (33*) and Devender Ranolia (27*) in a crucial unbroken 9th wicket stand.

The home side's chase never really got going despite starts for Mark Tonge (38), Joey Carroll (31), Aviral Shukla (24) and Bilal Azhar (21).

George Dockrell picked up 3 for 25, while there were two apiece for Devender Ranolia and Ben White.
