Bready will need 126 in the fourth innings to beat Bonds Glen and claim the League Three Cup after the first day of the final at Magheramason.

Bonds Glen batted first and would have been happy with their effort of 205 for 7, with Richard Thompson top-scoring with 63 (7 fours, 1 six), with opener John Long making a quickfire 42 (5 fours, 1 six), and Willie Jackson an unbeaten 23.

Ross Campbell (3-29) and Marc Fleming (2-34) were best with the ball for the home side.

Bready started well with opener Andy Fleming top-scoring with 52 as he shared stands of 50 for the first with Ryan Godfrey (32) and a further 74 for the second with his brother Marc (33).

Ross Campbell hit 3 sixes in a rapid 28, but it still took a Bobby Stott six from the last ball to gain a first innings lead of four.

The Bee Gees weren't as fluent second time around with Marc Fleming taking 3-13, plus two wickets apiece for Bobby Stott, Cameron McClay and Ross Campbell - one too for Dean Faulkner.

Richard Thompson again top-scored with 36, while Shane Diver hit 22 in a total of 129 all out.

Play on Saturday resumes at 12 o'clock.
