Aimee Maguire's six-wicket haul led the Scorchers to a 65-run win against Typhoons in a low scoring match at Oak Hill.

The 17 year-old international left-arm spinner from The Hills figures of 6-19 were the second best in the competition's history - bettered only by the Dragons Cara Murray's 7-34 last year.

It was a family affair as older sister Jane also picked up 2 for 17, with teenager Alice Tector picking up the other two as the Typhoons were bundled out for 63 - Rebecca Stokell's 29 accounting for almost half the modest total.

Earlier, Scorchers total of 128 owed much to Tector's 34 and 20 from Merrion left-hander Leah Paul.

The wickets were shared around with two apiece for Lara McBride, Ava Canning and Freya Sargent.

The Scorchers were presented with the trophy afterwards for the third time in four years, having beaten the Dragons last week in the title shoot-out.
