Guernsey unveils North East Series squad

Guernsey selectors have named their 13-player squad to participate in the North East Cricket Series starting Sunday in North East England.

Ben Ferbrache, Guernsey Pathway Lead was pleased with the touring squad noting its importance in the goal of 2025:

“The North East Cricket Series is not the final 2024 tour, but the first of the 2025 cycle.  That is reflected by our selections and commitment to play in what is a very challenging series, allowing us to judge where our player's development is.  Congratulations to those who make their first tours in the U19 squads, as it represents a sign of your performance and progress within the Guernsey pathways this year.  I look forward to working with you throughout the series, and to your efforts to maintain our very proud reputation as a team the North East Series officials will always welcome back”.

John D Holland, North East Cricket Series Director was pleased to be welcoming such a talented Guernsey team in August adding “We look forward to welcoming a very talented Guernsey team to the North East on Sunday.  It is an honour that our series can be a central part of their 2025 plans, building up to an ICC World Cup Qualifier, and no question they start as favourites for what is the 20th staging of the series”.
