A century from Gethin Kelleher helped Ireland U15s make a winning start to the U15 Festival at Barnard Castle.

The Terenure batsman hit 15 boundaries in his unbeaten 101 as the Boys in Green piled on the runs against Cleveland.

Kelleher shared a fourth wicket stand of 157 with skipper Peter Le Roux, with the young Railway batsman making 74 in an Irish total of 302 for 7 - runs too for Marko Bates (38).

Cleveland's reply never got going - bundled out for just 94 with two wickets apiece for Bobby Brolly, Toby Slye-O'Connell and Zayyan Malik.
