The last time Namibia and Oman played was last month in the T20 World Cup, and they produced a low scoring thriller, with Namibia needing a Super Over to win. Today's game wasn't as close as the sides met in the ODI format as part of CWC League 2, with this tri-series taking place in Dundee, Scotland.

Namibia won the toss and asked Oman - who were saved by the rain against the hosts on Tuesday - to bat first. Both openers fell cheaply and it was up to the middle order of Zeeshan Maqsood and Khalid Kali to make the biggest score, both reaching 51.

Contributions also came from Aqib Ilyas (39) and Shoaib Khan (30). Ben Shikongo took a career best 4-29, including three of those top four scorers as Oman were kept to 233-8 from their 50 overs.

Namibia started their run chase with a 51 run partnership between Michael van Lingen and Lo-handre Louwrens, which ended when the former was out for 30 at the end of the 15th over. Jan Frylinck top scored with 73 before he was the second of two wickets for Bilal Khan.

A quick unbeaten 44 from 37 balls by JJ Smit secured the six wicket win for Namibia with Smit hitting two consecutive sixes to seal the deal with 13 balls to spare.

Namibia play next on Saturday, with Oman's next game coming on Monday, both against Scotland.
