It was a day of double success for Jersey's cricketers as their men won in Germany to progress in T20 World Cup qualification and, on home turf, their women beat Channel Island rivals Guernsey in the women's inter-insular.
Guernsey captain Krista De La Mare won the toss and chose to bowl first at Grainville. Charlie Miles led the way with the bat for the home side, scoring 68 from 42 balls, a record high score for Jersey in women's T20Is. Molly Robinson was the pick of Guernsey's bowlers with 4-15, with Hannah Mechem taking 3-38 as Jersey were bowled out for 157.
