Lorcan Tucker (BCB)

Lorcan Tucker's unbeaten century has put his side in charge after the first day of the four-day game at Malahide as domestic first-class cricket made a return.

The Pembroke keeper-batsman hit 9 fours and 3 sixes in his unbeaten 125, adding an unbroken 118 with Graeme Hume after they had slipped to 185 for 6.

Hume had struck 9 fours in his 53 not out, with the left-right handed combination frustrating the bowlers.

Andy McBrine toiled away for 30 overs, getting the initial two breakthroughs, dismissing openers James McCollum (29) and PJ Moor (41) either side of lunch.

Harry Tector was run out having been sent back, while Chris De Freitas and Cade Carmichael also went cheaply.

Gavin Hoey struck five boundaries in a breezy 24 as he and Tucker punished anything loose.

There was one wicket apiece for Matthew Foster, Fionn Hand and Mike Frost.

The one notable absentee from the two made-up teams was Mark Adair, who is on track though to recover from his hamstring injury to feature in the Test against Zimbabwe in two weeks' time.
