Graeme McCarter removed openers Kevin Gallagher and Nasir Nawaz cheaply and the Red Caps never recovered from those blows, with only Aaron Gillespie (26) making any sort of impact as they were bundled out for 89.
Subhan Shirzad took three wickets as well as former Irish international McCarter. rain reduced the target to 86 off 37 overs, which proved little trouble thanks to opener Jack Macbeth's unbeaten 41 that included 6 boundaries.
