There was good news for fans of red-ball cricket as the Board gave the go-ahead today for the first Test to be staged in Northern Ireland to be played this July.
Stormont in Belfast will be the venue for the historic clash between the Irish and Zimbabwe, which will be only the second Test held on these shores - six years after their maiden Test at Malahide in 2018.
Andrew Balbirnie's side won their first Test earlier this year against Afghanistan.
It's mixed news though on some of the other games, with the white-ball portion of the Zimbabwe tour believed to be cancelled - official confirmation one way or the other is expected tomorrow from Cricket Ireland.
The white-ball series against South Africa look to have been retained, albeit with a reduced itineray.
The West Indies U23's are visiting these shores on a reciprocal tour, with matches scheduled in the North at both Bready and Stormont against the Wolves.
