NEWBUILDINGS
There is a new overseas professional at the FoyleView Arena, while JT has hung up the boots.
A free scoring left-hander, Indian Samarth Seth has six centuries in first-class and List-A cricket, where he averages 39.54 and 48.50 respectively. He has previous UK experience, having played two successful seasons in the Durham League.
The slow left-armer has been less successful with the ball, only taking 10 wickets across all formats, but in a league where you 'spin to win', he's sure to be more dangerous.
Teenager Charlie Simpson has left for Fox Lodge, but skipper Gareth McKeegan is happy to put his faith in youth once more.
"Like last year we will be trying to give our youth a chance to progress into the first team on a regular basis," said McKeegan,
"This is the reason we didn't go down the route of an Irish passport player like most other clubs.
"We feel youth is the way to take the club forward."
