Ardmore have confirmed that wicket-keeper batsman Haydn Melly has joined the Bleachgreen side from Brigade.

The Ireland Under 19 international played just four matches for Brigade in 2023 as the Beechgrove side were pipped at the post by Ardmore in the Premiership title race.

Melly missed out on a place in Ireland U19's World Cup squad, but showed his batting potential in making 46 against Jersey last summer, as well as featuring for the Emerging Warriors in the Future Series.

Ardmore have also opted not to bring an overseas professional this summer, although South African teenager Ciaran Roundtree will be back for the defending champions.
