Suspensions galore have been handed down by Cricket Ireland with four players banned, and two receiving reprimands after tense clashes last July in the National Cup semi-finals.

Muckamore were also given a one-match home ban for the 'failure of the club or its officials to manage criticism or comments made on any of the websites and/or social media accounts which are under the club’s control.'

The Moylena side lost a tense all-NCU game against Cliftonville Academy by three wickets, during which captain Neil Gill and Luke Allen were given three and two-match bans for dissent.

In addition Satish Suresh and Kyllin Vardhan were given reprimands and official warnings having also been reported by the match officials.

In the other semi-final on July 9th, Rush captain Nathan McGuire was given a two-match ban after his side lost to Derriaghy, while his team-mate Alex Neary had a one-match ban imposed in the same game.

There must be something in the National Cup water with, as earlier reported, Derriaghy given a home-game ban after trouble with their supporters in the final at The Lawn as they beat Cliftonville Academy.
