Waringstown batsman James McCollum has been called up to the Emerging Ireland squad for their two four-day games against the West Indies Under-23s in Antigua.
He replaces YMCA's Adam Rosslee who was injured during the second One-Day game at the weekend.
28 year-old McCollum has made 16 appearances for Ireland at senior level including six Tests, although he has only won five caps in the last four years - four of which were Test matches.
“In terms of James’s call-up, we considered this opportunity provided two key benefits," said Andrew White.
"Firstly, it will provide James with some quality red-ball cricket after missing a large portion of last home season due to injury.
"Secondly, James’ presence and professional approach to his game will provide added benefit to a young squad that has had little to no red-ball experience in recent years.”
The first of the four-day matches gets underway on Saturday, with the second and final game taking place the following Saturday.
