North Down have signed James Shannon and Dian Forrester for the 2024 season.
Former Irish international Shannon hasn't played locally for four years, having played most of his domestic cricket for Instonians, save for one brief spell in Leinster cricket with Phoenix.
The 33 year-old won 19 caps between 2012 and 2018, averaging just over 18 with half centuries against India and South Africa A.
The Comber side have also recruited South African Dian Forrester as their overseas professional.
The 23 year-old is an all-rounder with the Knights averaging just over 50 in his fledgling List-A career.
He has also taken 14 wickets at just over 16, with a best-bowling return of 6 for 48.
The two signings should help North Down challenge at the top of the table once again following a disappointing 2023 season.
