A rare cross-region associate bilateral T20I series took place this past week with Namibia travelling to Dubai for six T20Is against the hosts, beginning on 26th September.
The home team won the first game of the series by 19 runs thanks to an unbeaten 54 from Theertha Satish, but Namibia bounced back the next day, squaring the series with a nine wicket win, chasing 110 in 18 overs with Yasmeen Khan scoring an unbeaten 62 from 57 balls.
Namibia then won the next three games to secure the series, with Yasmeen Khan again the top scorer in two of those victories. She was top scorer again in the final T20I on Tuesday, with 48 out of the Namibian total of 97-8 but this time UAE were able to chase the target to win by nine wickets with eight balls to spare.
The series win will give Namibia confidence as they prepare for the final African regional qualifier for next year's Women's T20 World Cup which takes place in Uganda in December, from which two teams progress to the global qualifier.
