We start our review of the NCU club season with a look at the champions Instonians.
The batting was led by professional Shane Dadswell who scored two hundreds and 6 half centuries in his tally of 763 at 44.88.
What was very important was not only his runs but his strike-rate of 133.63, with five of his team mates also having a SR above 100.
Cade Carmichael hit 6 fifties on his way to 756 runs at the top average of 54, while Shane Getkate made 522 at just over 30 - with five fifties.
Rob McKinley and Jack Dickson both scored a hundred as they made 381 at 31.75 and 324 at 40.50 respectively.
Dadswell and Carmichael were the only two to feature in the top 20 NCU aggregate list, but the bowling unit featured much more prominently.
Andy White leads the way at the summit with 42 wickets at 13.31, while all-rounder Dadswell completed a great sseason with two five-wicket hauls in his 35 at 16.31 which put him in 6th.
Danny Rose was 11th with his 30 wickets, while Cian Robertson (19th) managed 27 at 18.74 despite missing a chunk of the campaign with a shoulder injury.
The fifth member of the bowling unit who passed 20 wickets was Ben Rose who claimed 22 wickets at just over 22.
Andy White finished second in the catching stakes (19), while others who featured in the top 20 pairs of safe hands were Nikolai Smith, Shane Dadswell, and Shane Getkate.
